What happened to Jordy Nelson?

Side note. Anybody else see the Nelson hit and keep thinking this is the injury Romo finished the SF game with? What a tough SOB that guy is.

Nelson is just getting back to where he was before previous injuries...cheap shots. The three teams that I detest for hits, are the Giants, Steelers, and Seahawks.

I'm glad our team don't think like our fans do. I guess it's normal to be chicken **** after 21 years of failure, but there's none of that in me. You beat Green Bay fully loaded, then beat Seattle or Atlanta fully loaded, you're ready for the Patriots.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Who cares if they are fully loaded?

Wait, you are not one of the imbeciles who begs to play everyone at full strength?

There is no such thing in the NFL. You play who you get. Nobody is going to feel sorry for you.

Yeah it's a lot coward like thinking all of a sudden. Quaking in their boots as if GB is sooo unbeatable in every phase of the game. If that was the case they'd be the home team. They'd also not have tough games against Matt Barkley led Bears teams lol

I hate to sound like an arse, but good. Rodgers was crap without Jordy (and a running game, that Mont has now brought them -- hopefully he's banged up to). He was regressing at an alarming rate. Then Jordy got healthy, then Montgomery started running effectively, and bam-o, dude is chucking again. Granted, Adams has emerged this year, but he's not enough. Hoping Nelson is out, and Mont is hampered.

Sorry, football Gods. Ten Hail Marys and one Lord's Prayer :)
Cobb and Adams both went over 100 yards and scored 4 TD's yesterday.

WITHOUT JORDY NELSEN.

Green Bay is 4-4 on the road. They've been outscored by 34 points against opponents with winning records on the road. (only 3 opponents)

Green Bay is completely different at home compared to on the road. They will be walking into a buzzsaw Sunday.

Word is that even with the big numbers this season, Nelson is still not his old self, and that he, along with the rest of the Packers receivers, are a subpar group that have been elevated by Rodgers.

So losing Jordy by itself isn't huge. but since they don't have an adequate replacement for him, it's a problem.

Yeah, I'm an imbecile. Let's say you beat Green Bay with no Aaron Rodgers, then Seattle with no Wilson, and get carved up by the Patriots. Would that make you feel better?

Nelson clearly wasn't the guy this year that he had been earlier in his career -- one of the better long ball receivers in the history of the NFL.

He's lost most of his deep speed and has been getting by on veteran savvy more than anything else. They've played him from the slot a ton as well - especially in the red zone.

Did we end up giving up a 3rd 100 yard WR game this year? Rodgers is going to get his, and if he gets multiple multiple TD-100 yard games against us, that could be a back breaker (though we'd still have a shot at holding serve with this offense against their defense). But I have a hard time seeing that happen. If we don't turn the ball over and don't blow coverages or give up at ST score, I'm not sure he can beat us with pinpoint accuracy on every drive. If he can, he deserves it.

We're looking at another game like the PIT game, with heavyweight NFC teams trading blows and one left standing late in the 4th. Only this time it's a home game. It's going to be a great football game. I can see them edging us, and I can see us putting them away fairly handily. I don't think they can blow us out in Dallas (I could in GB, though). Can't wait.

Let me educated you scared little fans out there. Balance is the key, balance. And what team is balanced? Dallas is the most balanced team in the NFL. So let Rodgers sit back there and slowly move the ball up and down the field, that's all Marinelli will do. We act as if we still don't believe in this team. A lot of us feel insecure with Dak being a rookie, and would feel better with Romo at the helm.

The one thing you will get with Dak is a "move the ball" down the field and into the end zone type offense. It's not going to be fast, it's going to be methodical. He's not going to throw you any gifts, you'll have to earn a win vs him. This means, you'll have to stop Zeke, Dak, Beasley, everyone.

I think we win by 8.

Yep. The "dink and dunk" QB some claim Dak is is a good thing in this game. We want him to take his time and keep Aaron rodgers on the bench as long as possible.

When did jordy go out? What quarter? How did the Rodgers passing attack look after? Did it make a difference? Or was the game already over? Didn't get a chance to watch game.

My feeling as well. Everyone is talking about how Rodgers is going to shred our D-- but I actually think our style of D is GB's kryptonite. We limit the big play-- play tough red zone D, and "clog n cover" makes QBs drive the length of the field and throw into tight windows.

The big challenge with a guy like Rodgers is playing good containment and keeping him in the pocket. I think we will be up to the challenge on D and our offense will control the game...

Dak needs to take advantage of his legs to the greatest extent possible in this game. If GB sells out to try to stop the run we need to have bootlegs and rollouts all night long. That kind of stuff will stop a lot of the LBs from immediately screaming upfield.

It's probably too late now but it would be awesome to have a package where Dak lined up at WR and Romo played QB. Either he is a decoy or we could do a double pass.

He went out before halftime. No it didn't seem to make a difference. After that Cobb caught two TDs.

I watched a lot of Packer games this year and Jordy had definitely not been the usual deep threat this season, but he was getting that downfield separation towards the end of the season and was lighting it up.
