Ok let me try and explain myself.

Being on a good team and a bad team DOES make a difference.

I will make a brief example (and lets not make this a whole new deal)

Barry Sanders vs Our very own Emmitt Smith. :)

The eternal debate is who is better.

I guess every SANE NFL fan, would agree that Sander's talent was OUT OF THE WORLD. The guy was one of a kind. That was shackled to a horrible team.

So go ahead flame me, but he was SO much better than Emmitt. But then again, that is one rare case where talent alone did make a difference. Emmitt was great too, but I do not think Emmitt would have "shined" in Detroit the way barry did.... Who has the records, superbowls etc... Emmitt.

Now back to subject.

Romo is on a "not so well coached" team, with "decent" players. I had the guts to compare him to Rodney Peete becuae I think that Romo is just a "transitional" QB that will hold the position until the next Staubach or Aikman comes.

Big Ben, I think he is not spectacular but he is better than Romo. I try to watch as many NFL games as I can, and I enjoy the league as a whole, and I personally think that Romo will just be a guy that is there.

For example, i think that there are QB that make teams better. I dont see Romo as one of those.

What is a fair fight? Kind of an oxymoron there.

It isn't fair, but some people like to pretend that it is. I don't expect "fairness and balance" when I come here, but how 'bout some class?

who emphatically make statements about...

Romo sucks as a QB?
Wade sucks as a coach?
The Cowboys can't replace T.O.'s production?
The Cowboys are a worse team w/o T.O.?

Do these people just quietly disappear into the shadows?
and then return at a later time trying to act like they never doubted?
or do they just immediately change their tone w/o acknowledging their stupid remarks?

I see some here make an "I was wrong" thread and good for them. But there have been alot more naysayers in the past 9 weeks than there are I-was-wrongers owning up to it now.

Not just here in the Zone but on TV and everywhere. Some of these people were really emphatic and combative with their statements. They need to eat it and eat it bigtime. I'm tired of the comments made so strongly without there ever being any accountability for it... that's why these comments are made to begin with. These people should be wearing a "scarlet letter" for the remainder of the season.

It's only week 10 and who knows what the Cowboys will be by season's end.
But Romo IS a top-knotch QB, no debate. Wade IS a hell of a coach and T.O.'s release IS an improvement to the team on all fronts and his production HAS been replaced entirely.

This is a stupid post.

I guess Trent Dilfer is better than Tony Romo because he won a Super Bowl.

Good example and I Hadn't really thought about it. I guess Dilfer was just in the right team at the right time that did hte job.

Ok... ill say it... I probably think that Romo and Dilfer are equivalent. Giving romo a little edge. I think that Romo was overly hyped by the media, the fans and everyone else.

But hey.... thoe are just my thoughts and my sincere opinions.

My guess is that they're balanced out by those folks who whistle a happy tune no matter what transpires on the field. The same ones who are MIA after a loss, or who suddenly grow a pair after a few wins.
Gosh, I knew you missed me during those 3-4 days I didn't post here after one loss (due in large part to being out of town for a couple days), but I didn't think you missed me enough to bring it up so much.

I better return my season tickets and stop contributing to that dastardly Jerry Jones. I don't want to be a part of the "real problem."

You thought I was only referencing you? What an ego. You had plenty of company.

Not one nickel for a billboard, but $10 for a hot dog. I just love your priorities.

Me and my shadow ...

If you didn't bring it up so much, I wouldn't think you were referencing me.

I have no idea what billboard you're referencing.

The Kobe beef hotdogs were delicious. And only $8. Unfortunately they ditched them for cheap knockoffs (at the same price!).

Me and my shadow ...
Ego?

You're right.

Your post is stupid.

Don't get mad.

You are going overboard...

And there is an anchor tied to back.

It's November 9, 2009.

Not February 8, 2010.

You can never love the Cowboys too much, but you can sure as hell love them too little. And only one is considered "obnoxious."

Based on his current contract looks like you will have a long wait.

Ok... this is my point of view so here goes..

IMO

Elite "proven" current active QBs (in no particular order)

1. P. Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Brett Fave (lets start the favre-romo comparison if you like)
4. McNabb
5. Drew Bress
6. Big Ben
7. Rivers

QB's that I think will be much much better than Romo in time

1. Flacco
2. Matt Ryan
3. Aaron Rodgers

How do I see Romo?

More or less like the following

1. Kitna
2. Hasselbeck
3. Jake Helhomme
4. Bulger
5. Culppeper
6. Aaaron brooks
7. Rodney Pete

QBs that have sparks here and there.. but wont ever consolidate

You mean Falco who melted down this weekend and cost his team a win ?

You mean the same Matt Ryan that Romo mopped up the field to ?

Aaron Rodgers who gave the Tampa Bay Bucs their 1st win and threw 3int including a game clinching int for a td to the Bucs ?

You mean the same QB's who have done what ?

Falco has not carried his team and they have asked more of him this year and their record has shown it last year he was a bus driver who relied on defense and a running game.

Ryan has struggled a lot this year with the running game under peforming compared to last year

Sorry but that list is a crock
