Just ordered from Verizon.

Delivery date is Sept 28th.

When my wife chatted with the sales rep, she said it could come even sooner.

I don't think it's even a contest.

The black one looks like a bomber - matte black on glossy black.

The white one looks like a mistake. When the white one leaked I thought there was no way that was the final version, but they shipped it.

The only reason anyone gets the white one is because they want a fashion accessory. They want people to look at their iPhone when they pull it out or put it on a table. Which is fine. You're paying for it, get what you want.

From an aesthetic design standpoint, I just think it's an inferior design.

yea its already been pushed back due to demand....my company(which owns 4 stores) ordered a thousand of them...and we were told to expect 10 on the 21st....

Right. But I ordered at 3am on Friday morning and mine won't be here until October 5. If he ordered his this late, it sucks for me that he gets one a week earlier.

I'm still holding out hope that October 5 is a conservative estimate.

Either not many people are buying them on Verizon or Verizon paid to have a huge supply. Maybe a little of both. But you wouldn't think they'd have a bigger supply than Apple itself.

Well, it looks like the wife and son are getting the iPhone 5 and they are getting me an iPhone 4S for free.

You don't have to ever use Siri. I use it may be once a week or so.

You don't have to ever use Siri. I use it may be once a week or so.

I'll probably use it for texting because I can just speak into the phone rather than using a keypad.

But, I read up on Siri and it seems to have some good features like GPS.
