Scrutiny? Because I call it what it is?

Jerry Jones throws the ball - its his fault

Jerry Jones doesn't catch the ball - its his fault

Jerry Jones isn't getting us a good running game - more his fault

Seriously? Look Jerry Jones does whatever it takes to win and it's his multi-billion dollar operation. Remember where the Cowboys are at in the world BECAUSE of Jerry Jones.

Good lord - you act like Jerry doesn't care to win and just wants to do w/e it takes to ruin this team.

Im just calling BS and it gets very very OLD when so called fans start it up again about its all JJ's fault and somehow my topic is going to matter when we all know full well Jerry Jones isn't going anywhere.

What a waste of time and energy.

If you can't hack it - get your jacket.

That's all Im saying. Nobody is holding a gun to these fans heads who post this constant hate w/ the owner and the team.

Hey fella, I don't have to sign up for Jerry's fan club to remain a Cowboys fan do I? Do I need a membership card from you? Will you approve my fanship please?

I've been a Cowboys fan for at least 40 years, how about you?

I'm not going anywhere, and I'm not asking you for permission to stick around either.

And until the mods tell me I can't (which I will abide by if they do), I plan to go on criticizing what I see to be an owner who needs to learn to stay out of the football side of things and stick to selling his product.

he has won 3 ...but you discredit him for it....if he wins another you wont give him credit for it either

I fault Jerry for some of the culture problems we've had over the years, but I do like how some try to conveniently dismiss his three Super Bowls as not having been won "his way."

What, was he handcuffed and gagged and made to hire Jimmy Johnson?

Can you tell us that you have a vast expanse of knowledge about every other owner in the league?

Saying things on the Internet doesn't make them true. No matter how hard you want it to be.

Ok, lets take your premise. I'll change it to "public meddler".

Now, if you would like to, answer the corrected question.

As long as Jerry Jones is the owner Dallas will have problems, I will agree with that. Dallas needs to hire a real GM, but of course that won't happen with Jerry Jones as the owner.

Then by all means stick around. Throw your pom poms down and stomp all over them for all we care.

Many of us dont' overlook the positive that is Jerry Jones.

You should have someone like Snyder as your owner. ;)

Not at all. I give Jerry full credit for hiring Jimmy, and for letting Jimmy control the football side of things. That produced a great legacy. All I'm saying is he needs to return to it and stay there.

hehe, thanks for letting me stick around :)

"the positive that is Jerry Jones."... I would ask in what realm?

I'll say again. As a provider of money? Yes. As promoter and money maker? Yes.

As a football man? No, no, no. He's a fan.

Sorry, guys, and I'm sure many will vent their spleen here, but I've watched enough of it to be convinced.

We will all continue to cheer for our team, hope for the best, etc., but what is wrong with this team will not get fixed for a long time.

What is wrong is Jerry Jones, and he isn't going anywhere.

The play that captured it for me was the controversy over Campbell stepping out of bounds before the throw. The camera zooms in on the official, he has come over to the sideline to explain what is going on to the coaches.

There is Wade, there is Campo, and there is some other assistant that I don't recognize. All 3 standing in front of the official. Who is the official giving the explanation to and getting an earful from? The assistant standing behind Phillips.

This team has no real head coach. This team has no real leadership from its coaching staff.

You have Jerry taking a page from Bud Adams and Commander boy telling his offensive coordinator who needs to get the ball more. Felix.

Until Jerry Jones steps aside the Cowboys are what the Cowboys will be.

Organized around the wrong guy.... Jerry

You lose all credibility because you have TO in the picture on your background.

Gee...this would be the post I had about the DC "culture" last week. You're right and your right again that they don't want to hear it...but, as I said, by the end of December they will ALL be on your side.

I am a big fan of the Cowboys.
I am a big fan of Jerry Jones.

Jerry Jones is the best owner in the NFL. Jerry is an excellent GM/player acquisition specialist. We have had excellent drafts the last couple of years. Good FA pickups.

If Jerry Jones bothers you so much, there are 31 other teams out there who would love to have you as a fan.

Like the Southwest commercial: you are free to fly to some other team.

Nice post by the OP. How ironic that many of these people saying he needs to go find another team complain just as much as him about other issues. When they complain about something its a legitament complaint and they have every right to; however, if someone else dare question something about this team that they like well, "he can just go find another team"...

So what exactly does this have to do with JJ?
Sometimes things aren't what they seems. Because the coach was yelling, drawn attention to himself, so the ref directs his attention to him, and away from Wade.
Not saying that's it, but possible.

Here's the thing.

Jerry isn't going anywhere. Finding any and every way to rip into Jerry (this instance really is ridiculous) screams that no matter what Jerry does, he will be at fault.

And if that's the case, you're pretty much a fan that is only a fan so they can rip into Jerry. And you're only on this forum to rip into Jerry.

Hey, it's alright to criticize Jerry. But, when you blatantly state that essentially the Cowboys will never be good as long as Jerry is here and then you make a ludicrous example of why Jerry should be criticized, then we know the score with you.

You're just here to rip into Jerry.

So my feeling is if that is the case, I honestly cannot see why you root for the Cowboys. I would find another team. I hear Patriots fans and Steelers fans really love their owners.

I agree. Our problems will never be fixed. I don't see any way to rid ourselves of our idiot fan-base.

The original poster basically is saying that the Cowboys will never be good as long as Jerry is the owner. Then he makes a ludicrous example of blaming Jerry for something that happened in the game.

That tells most of us that this poster and others like him are basically just here to rip into Jerry and really are not a fan, they are just a Jerry-hater.

Well, Jerry isn't going anywhere.

If a poster just ripped into Jerry for having a bad draft or spending money on a FA that isn't performing to expectations, I think most of us could at least understand that because it's not saying 'as long as Jerry is here the Cowboys will never be any good.'

And it's much different from ripping into Wade or Romo or Garrett, etc. because they are certainly not permanent fixtures as Cowboys.

Jerry for all intents and purposes, is a permanent fixture.

So when you say 'what's wrong in Dallas will never be fixed with Jerry as the owner', you're basically saying 'I am a Dallas Cowboys hater' because Jerry Jones IS the Dallas Cowboys.

So we say to you 'go find another team to root for because there is no reason why you should remain a Cowboys fan.'
