I never said he was the only guy on the team geez! I was quoting someone who said that without him we'd only win 3 games.

You were quoting me. But, then you said, "But with him we're only winning 8 games!"

I was responding to that "but with him" stuff, because there are other players that are responsible for those 8 games, not just Romo.

Are you contradicting yourself? First you say he lost his "want to win". Then, "no one likes to lose, especially Romo".

If you are a competitor, like most of these athletes are, you never get used to losing. And I don't think Romo is a loser, I just think the team is around him is not helping him out, and he does his part in losing by trying to compensate.

And, Romo better come out these next 3 games and just lay down the freaking law! Int's and all...just go out and let the chips fall as they may, because that is all he can do at this point in time.

I'd like you to explain how wanting to win and disliking losing are "contradictory".

Cool story...he lost his want to win. Yeah,, that makes total sense. What a joke!

Without Romo this team would not sniff 3 games won!

Where do you guys come up with these estimations? The only time romo was out the team improved from 1-6 when he was healthy to 5-3 when he was out. "This team would only win ___ games without romo" is a baseless argument.

I dont want to hear from the fantasy football stat bois.

The excitement and improvisation is gone. He doesnt make big plays any more.

Is it coaching or another one of Jerry's kids that gets a huge contract and dials it in?

51 other guys taking their responsibility seriously would be a good beginning.

Go ask him, Doc.

First he says that Romo lost his "want to win". Then he says nobody likes to lose, especially Romo. If that does not strike you as being contradictory, then make him explain it better, because it does not make sense to me.

For example, If I lose my will to do something, then I would not care if I do or not.

So, educate me on how this is not contradictory as was stated.

Ok, without Romo, maybe they win 4 games. That make you feel better?

Didn't know it was you lol.....Well if you're going to say what it would be like without Romo I was simply saying what it's been like with him that's all. I was never implying that he's the only reason why we win or lose.

Haha I know it sounds crazy to think he should be throwing more picks but I just want him to take more chances and if it's an INT then oh well.

i pretty much agree with this. it's clear he isn't throwing the ball down the field nearly as much as in the past. if we are going to stink, i'd rather see gunslinger romo than conservative romo. this offense is just plain boring 80% of the time.

That is what I would like to see the rest of the way. Go out and do what you do, Romo! Forget about throwing an Int...chances are, you just might not. If you don't take chances in life, you will never know how to succeed.

Also, can anyone name me a QB playing today, that can win a game where the opponent never has to punt? That is just crazy! Could Manning, Brady, Brees, Rodgers, win a game like that?

Maybe RGKnee could, but not them other guys.

then you need to start airing it out to keep up. cant wait till you're down 3 scores to attempt to play catchup with 5:00 left on the clock.

That appears to be the game plan each week pound the ball and play it safe until the opponent gets us down by at least of couple of scores then become aggressive. Garrett keeps saying the Cowboys need to run the ball more but they need to score more and you do that by throwing the ball. The Cowboys need to have the same approach the final 3 games they had against Denver. They knew they were going to have to outscore Denver to have any chance of staying with them and we attacked from the opening whistle.

The Cowboys need to come out swinging on Sunday and put some points on the board because they may have to win out to make the playoffs. We have no defense so it's going to be up to the offense to win games. On Monday Night the Bears rushed for well over 100 yards but they also attacked threw the air. McCown completed 7 more passes than Romo attempted. If you're going to go down go down swinging that's the approach the Cowboys need to have the final 3 weeks.

it is clear this is what Jerruh and RED BALL want from Tony or this would not be happening.

So we have a 33 year old QB that is aging and not like a fine wine or anything, is scared to take hits, is scared to make tough throws, and without this guy our team has no hope for the future? Sounds like he is falling apart right along with our other veterans I.E. Ware & Witten. Time to start looking for his replacement.

You act like our offense is in perfect shape and all we need is a defense. Our offense looked like total crap the other night with the exception of Murray. Heck, our offense hasn't done jack since the Denver game. Romo throws for 100 yards and you are excited?

How many big hits do Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees willingly take? Why should Romo have to keep trying to be Superman and getting blasted now that he's well into his 30's? That wouldn't be smart of him and it would eventually be disastrous for the team since he'd eventually get hurt.

How much does Aaron Rodgers regret the unnecessary hit he took in Chicago?

27 TD, 7 INT, 98.3 rating. Boy, just imagine how good Romo would be if he wasn't "scared" and "falling apart"!!!!

Oh, and despite not "doing jack since the Denver game" Dallas is 3rd in the NFL in points/game. We've scored at least 24 points 6 times in those 8 games since. You're not watching the games or you just don't know football.

Sounds like you've been spoiled by Romo and what he's done for our offense to the point where you think numbers like a 98.3 QB rating and a 27-7 TD/INT ratio are nothing special. Only a handful of teams can say they get the QB play we get. It's VERY HARD to land a franchise QB in this league and we're fortunate enough to have one. Try to learn football by next season. Watch and learn about OTHER TEAMS besides the Cowboys. Compare their QBs to Tony Romo. The games are much more fun to watch when you know what you're seeing.

Well, his line can't pick up a blitz.

That is part of it also. But, maybe the Cowboys need to keep the back in for protection to let the receivers get down the field and get open so Romo can make some downfield throws?

When the team gets down by, lets say, 17 in the 4th qtr and you can run the ball really good? What good is that going to do except let the clock wind down.

Oh, hell to the no! You air it out these last few games and see what happens. The team might be surprised.

Romo goes gunslinger & turns the ball over & it's Romo sucks. He can't protect the ball. He chokes. Yada yada yada.
Romo dials it back, makes far LESS mistakes & it's What's wrong with Romo? He doesn't make big plays anymore. Yada yada yada.
Just shut up already. Romo will NEVER win in the eyes of a bunch of posters here, no matter WHAT he does. Romo could win the Super Bowl & it would be "Why didn't he throw more TDs? Why didn't Romo throw that 1 pass away, that ended up getting picked off, even though we WON THE GAME?" threads popping up. Just give it a rest already.

The bottom line is Garrett continues to play not to lose despite having one of the worst defenses in history.

Romo hurt his back before TC. Maybe that is whats going on especially in light of the hits he took earlier in the season. They still haven't figured out the blitzes in the middle to boot.

He must be protecting himself because the last two he literally dives to the turf. He has only run a handful of times in the last 4 or 5 games but he plods. He doesn't have his quickness.

lol.. because maybe he just signed a 108m contract and I'm sure the Cowboys expected big things from him. Instead he is playing like a scared girl out there and isn't earning his money.
