What next for the Mavericks?

Wow are you really playing the race card? :laugh2:

Steve Nash is white yet plenty of guys including Howard wanna play with him. Race has nothing to do with it. Players don't wanna go to Dallas because their team isn't good enough to compete with the truly elite teams like the Heat, Celtics, Thunder, Spurs, and Lakers.
Yea but Nash had to go to the brothas. They didnt come to him.BTW ur team is NOT elite u lil ESPN bandwagon, frontrunning,NY yankee cap wearing homey.

Nash is white. Nash passes the ball. He assists. The brothas love Nash cause he gives them the ball haha so they can shoot it.

it has 0 to do with dirk why players wont sign in dallas. it has everything to do with players wanting to go to huge markets like LA or NY, a party city like miami (wish the spurs would have moved to austin :banghead: ) or just stay with their franchise.

hell, when was the last time a big time free agent signed with the celtics? or sixers? or the bulls? thats why the mavs cant be chasing pipe dreams and need to concentrate on rebuilding through the draft and the bargain section of free agency or with good trades.
I agree partially. Mavs won 50 plus games 12 years in a row with a big german white man as their only star. However him being the face of the franchise scares the brothas away. You will see this once Dirk retires. Dallas will get all kinds of huge names all of a sudden.

they won 50 games a year by surrounding him with good role players, not going after jason kidd and jermaine oneal in 03 or other big time free agents, they aquired solid guys like terry and nick van exel and built good depth. they flushed all that down the crapper for a shot at the lottery. if the mavs dont improve significantly by he start of the year, they probably wont get 50 wins.

and by lottery, i mean hitting the jackpot in free agency, if that wasnt obvious enough.

Yeah we just added a superstar PG to play alongside Kobe, Pau, and Bynum or Dwight. We're not elite.

even miami was super random, i think if wade hadnt been there already, they would have all gone to the nets or knicks. even with all that star power, and being as good as they are, the heat lost money last season, thats just pathetic...FAN UP, MIAMI!!:lmao2:

Miami "fans" are just Lakers fans that jumped ship early, If LA can't buy another championship soon and Miami keeps winning the rest will follow

I'm no Miami fan, but nice try.

Not yet... :laugh2:

I won't ever be a Miami Heat fan. I'll be a Lakers fan regardless of whether they're winning title. I didn't jump ship when Shaq was traded and the Lakers were stuck in mediocrity and I won't now.

I was just about to turn 10, but I remember it very vividly. You can root for whoever you want this whole you can't root for L.A., Dallas, and NY is a bunch of BS.

Hey, leave the little man alone.....at his young age all he wants to do is conform to society.

And the Lakers are a popular team, he just wants the acceptance of his peers.
Maybe his dad was a lakers fan?

If he wants to like a ****y team let em.

I know. It just annoys me that people on here try to say I'm a bandwagon fan when they don't even know me personally.

I've explained this before, but my entire family for the most part are Dallas/Yankee fans. I started watching basketball when I was real young about 4 and Kobe was always my favorite player. I really don't see what the big deal is.
