You have to be such a great athlete to be a race car driver that little 110lb D. Patrick is able to do it with no problem. Give me a break, some of the drivers might be good athletes but it sure isnt a requirement in order to be a great driver. See Tony Stewart.

Tennis was hard for YOU to prepare for. Without question? To you because you found it hard. But to allot of people in this country its not a sport...

Thats what makes it the greatest country in the world we can all agree to Disagree..

Not that I think hunting is a sport, but ball-less and gutless?

If someone chooses to feed themselves by hunting and you feel that way about it, then how do you reconcile having a nice steak with the systematic slaughter of a cow for your tasty meal?

…Or a chicken, or a pig? Or fish for that matter. Or what ever you chose to put on the grill or order at a restaurant.

It's all the same...only thing different is someone else does the dirty work for you.

And no…I’m not a vegetarian nor a tree hugger. Heck, I’ve never been hunting and haven’t been fishing in years. Nor do I overly care how a cow meets it demise for my culinary delight. I’m a big meat and potato guy.

But to stay on topic...no, hunting is not a sport. Oh and neither is fishing.

If you REALLY are hunting to feed yourself...Then OK.

As has been discussed in other threads ad nauseam...Cows and Pig and the such are raise for the sole purpose to feed us. I'm not crazy about how it's done...But I accept that that's the way it is and I do eat meat.

To go out and shoot things just for the thrill of the Kill...Well I've stated how I feel about that.

And then they found out, you couldn't spell or punctuate very well, and, that you were in love with some guy named "Jerry", so they offered your scholarship to a girl?

Sport - on an organized field of competitive play where there is a human opponent impeding you from attaining your goal.

Skill - Pursuit of an activity to which the play or the field itself is the opponent.

Maybe they just find it a sport they don't like. Like soccer. A sport, but most Americans don't like it. Both are still sports. I don't like hockey, but it is still a sport. Based on the TV ratings, many don't like the NHL.

I'm with you...Auto Racing is a Sport.

I love Formula 1 and I'm a Big fan of Michael Schumacher and Ferrari.

They do stories on the drivers before the race and they would tell about all the physical training that the Drivers and Particularly Schumacher would do.

The guy was amazing...he would drive for two hours in 100+ heat and his heart rate would never get above like 85 and when he was done with the race he would get out and he would barley be wet.

If auto racing is a Sport so is motocross. Jumping in the air like what 50-100 feet or more is just insane as going round a track 200 miles an hour.

No go- still not a sport
