This is not a shot at Diggs as it doesn't even seem right to me that he's given up the most yardage. I don't know how you can accomplish that without it being painfully obvious on the field. He doesn't seem to me like a completion waiting to happen. Not at all.
But it's unacceptable to give up the most yards.
11 interceptions is also undeniable. That is special.
It's the oddest year I've seen from a Cowboy and I honestly don't know how to feel about it.
Really good thread with good discussion.
I love Diggs. Turnovers are SO important in this league, and one of the main reasons this D has taken such a huge leap.
However, I think there is danger that he (and others) start thinking he is "IT" in NFL CBs, and he is not, yet.
Teams are still throwing at him because they know he gives up big plays. Right now, he is NOT and NFL shutdown CB.
Yes Taylor Heinicke threw a pic to him, but Aaron Rodgers will not and will beat him.
Being a Pro Bowl starter may be deserved due to the picks, but he is not in Jalon Ramsay 's category yet.
He has a lot of work to put in to get to that level. Now if he gets there, with his ball skills, he is the best CB in the league and almost Deon like. But he is not close to that yet.
I hope the pick record doesn't go to his head and he realizes he can still get MUCH better.

I thought the same thing. What a crazy stat. Out of context (or in context), it makes no sense. I know he gives up some plays, but if the ball is in the air, he assumes they threw it to him. He is literally the exact opposite of Byron Jones.
But, it does make me think our DPOY candidate should be Parsons and not Diggs. While Diggs is balling out, I'm not sure you can find a negative stat about Parsons.
Any Cowboys fan who watched this entire season and believes Trevon Diggs is our best defensive player loses all respect from me.
The man has 11 INTs he is a God. I would give up a few crummy yards for a game winning play any time.
That is a very good question and for me this will be decided in the playoffs. Do his turnovers get us more points than his risky coverage costs us? Let's bring this thread up again either in the SB or after we lost that final play off game. Hoping for the best though. This is not a shot at Diggs as it doesn't even seem right to me that he's given up the most yardage. Exactly. I love Diggs. Love what he's doing. But teams aren't game planning away from him. They still challenge him. They do pay for it, but he's not unbeatable...yet.
Parsons is absolutely wrecking teams. He's our best edge rusher. He's our best linebacker. I'm not convinced if you lined him up at CB that he wouldn't, at a minimum, be our second best CB. He's not just the Cowboys' best defensive player, you could make an argument that he's the best defensive player in the league.
Further, I'm not sure Diggs would put up the same INT totals if Parsons was on another team. But I'm pretty dang sure that Parsons would be wrecking the NFL on any team.
Lets pump the breaks on Parsons. HE could not be an effective corner; he is just too big. He could not move with them. Physically NOT possible.Exactly. I love Diggs. Love what he's doing. I'm honestly dubious about the most yards against stat.
That's the perfect way to put it!Throwing at Diggs is like going to the Casino. You might win or you might lose all your money.
