Jiminey spokes!
Fox called it Dak's fumble, but didn't the lad Hunter Leupke from N. Dakota State, know to anticipate and lower and cradle the ball?

Good lads, the slow-mo shows Leupke's arms way too high to grasp the ball. Almost as the lad thought this was a feint?
Lads, cast your glistening eyes on the slo-mo.
And tell me what you think, good chaps all.

Before tha fumble: Dak, CeeDee, Fergie, Cooks rumbled downfield. Fearsome! And the ending was a fumble. And as a result, me feeling is tha fumble took the air out of our sails. Am I right?
Had Leupke held on, I am sure we win.

I don't know (nor care) whose fault it was but that sort of thing should not be happening in week 16.

i posted this during the game.

the guy cant even hand the ball off. hits the guy way too high in the chest.

and i can tell leupke wont get a chance anymore for a long time because of that fumble in a crucial situation.

another career wasted by that crap at qb.

The moment was too big for Hunter he didn't concentrate it was like running before you tuck the ball away on a pass play his concentration was so much on the line of scrimmage and getting over it that he did not secure the ball it was on the running back

Dak put the ball in his chest he needs to secure it and get over the goal line.
Not weird to me.
Diving into the end zone is the kind of thing I'd expect from a guy who was trying to play up a fake handoff.
Luepke made no move to take the handoff.
He did make a move to fake like he had it.

Clearly Luepke just didn't think he was getting the ball. Most likely it was his bad, and I say that as someone who has been pulling for him to be more involved in the offense all year.

This :hammer:

I think that

... It's funny how the Eagles showed NFL how the tush push works.
Why they don't use it I don't know
It works for Philthy because their LG is the first to move every time.
For anyone else, that's a 5 yard penalty. Also, they're really good at it.
I'm surprised a serious injury hasn't occurred yet.

He never possessed the ball.
Probably because the QB hit the chest plate of the FB instead of
his gut.

Wisdom continues to chase you but you remain able to outrun it.
He never had or because he fumbled the hand off. The ball was right to him. He’s a RB and knows to secure the ball first. You trying to blame it on the QB shows you have no clue or a huge agenda.

I coached the position for 20 years.
Been to a dozen coaching clinics from D1 colleges.
Been to dozens of HS prep coaching clinics.

Dude, you're way out of your league.

Blimey. Another year or two of practice and they will get that tricky hand off perfected.

The rule is, the last person to possess the ball gets credit for the fumble.

You can't fumble the ball if you never had possession of it.

A fumble can be a RB's fault. But the QB still takes the hit for a fumble. That's just the way it is.

It's got nothing with being blind, having no clue or some kind of agenda either.

NO I am not blind. 20/20 last I was checked. Thank you for your concern.

As for the fumble, look at the box score. Dak - 1 fumble. Hunter - 0 fumbles.
Lil' Rocky reminds me of someone who, years ago, on this board,
insisted that negative yards weren't counted in statistics.

Dak’s fumble. Handoff was too high, hit the breadbasket on any handoff is the correct way.

I don’t give a damn who gets credit for the fumble. It was #40’s fault.

Well said.

I am a Luepke fan, but as far as I can deduce, this was a missed call on his part, most likely an audible.
