Who should we root for Sunday GreenBay or Philly?

They'd still be in 1st place even if they lose to GB because they're 2-0 in the division.

Yes, but they would be less in first place. I think it would be nice if both teams had identical records heading into the Thanksgiving Day game. It would just amp up the importance and make it that much more enjoyable when we crush them.

Fellow posters, we have Tony Romo. They have Mark Sanchez. Sorry, but based on that alone, I will be very confident heading into that game. And yes, I know it's a team game. I don't care.

I hope GB destroys Philly, no other way around it.

We can take a very "glass is half full" approach to this, if either team loses, it benefits us. Simple as that. We are going to have to step up and win regardless. And I think we will.

Unless Philly is playing the Green Bay Taliban they will have me rooting against them.

If the playoffs started today...the Packers would be out. Seattle @ 6-3 holds the tie breaker over 6-3 Green Bay.

The season doesn't end today so what's the point? The Pack looks alive and well to me.

The Pack looks alive and well to me.

All 3 of the Packer's losses have come in the NFC against other playoff contenders (Detroit, Seattle, and New Orleans). They still have tough games with Detroit (who dominated GB earlier), New England, and Buffalo.

I believe the Packers have a 50/50 shot of being one of those 10-6 teams that get's left out.

Having said that -- after watching the Eagles destroy the Panthers last night, I am 100% behind the idea that it's best for the Cowboys if the Packers beat the Eagles this week.

Philly has to lose. If we end up going to GB in the playoffs, so be it. We play better on the road anyways. Haven't our three losses came at home?

Dallas gets to play Philly twice, but won't face GB this regular season. I'll never root for either team, so therefore I prefer that the Eagles win against the Packers. Then Dallas can take care of their own business and beat Philly twice.

Dallas's running game @ Lambeau in January is not a bad thing. Especially when contrasted to how the Packer's precision passing offense might be affected in January winter conditions.

Hard to get one's arms around the concept that Dallas might be better built for Lambeau and conversely the Packers better built for the fast track of JerryWorld, but it might be true.

Is this a serious question? No way we root for division foe if it's not a division game. GB beats Philly, we sweep Philly then Washington or NY beats them Philly might not make the playoffs. That would be so sweet to have the division wrapped up before our last game with Washington

Mathematically, a Green Bay win over Philadelphia would improve our chances to win the division, but it would hurt our chances to make the playoffs at all.

So, if you'd rather not even make the playoffs if we don't win the division, then you root for Green Bay.

If you'd rather make the playoffs regardless of whether we win the division, then you don't mind if the Eagles win.

Interesting.

Really makes the whole matter one of personal preference.

I will root for Philly when it's beneficial to us. Until then, may they rot in hell.

Romo playing the NFC championship game in Green Bay is a mouth watering possibility.

It's a win-win situation either way, provided the Cowboys win. I think we can beat the Packers in Green Bay as long as it's cool, as long as we stay healthy and as long as we continue to feature the running game. And isn't Romo from that area, anyway? He's used to playing in cold weather.

Just the thought of rooting for Philthy makes my stomach churn ... come Sunday, I'll be the biggest Packers fan. I don't really like Green Bay either, but I can handle rooting for them just once. I doubt it happens, but it would make my day to see Rodgers completely destroy that Eagles defense and Sanchez get plastered all game long ... beautiful thought.
