Why are we in a rush to sign Dak?

Not sure if they did but I know the year prior those 6 first round picks won 4 games. Also worth noting that 3 of those picks were on the offensive line I'm sure in Martin, Tyron and Fredericks.

And I'm not even sure your point. Your argument is the 49ers wouldn't have made it to the conference championship without Purdy?
My point was in response to your comment claiming our 2016 team was "overrated".

Hang on a second there, putting words in mouth on that one. The point relating to Purdy would actually be that even Mr Irrelevant QB can perform in a good roster.

He stepped up in a game where his kicker missed all his kicks. Defense played its *** off too. But like I've told you before with this discussion the Bucs were a playoff team and many people picked the Cowboys to lose this game. Now that they've won they were suppose to win. Still a playoff team. This team lost to the Jaguars and struggled to beat the Colts and Texans. You nor them are in any position to care who they beat in the playoffs as long as they do it.
Yep.....we keep going round and round about that bucs team.
You bill it as a bona fide playoff team. I bill them as one of the very worst teams to ever be in playoffs. I think you even made me show pre game opinions on how bad they were.
You strut proudly. Im very meh and refuse to brag about it.
Dak did exactly what he always does.....so im in better shape with my opinion.

By the way....i am "in position" to care about whatever dang thing i want...mkay?

Overrated?? Didnt that 2016 Offense have 6 first round picks?

Hang on a second, Dak hasnt even got us to a Championship game, unlike those youngsters: Burrows, Allen, Hurts and Purdy.
Burrow - two conference championship games and a league title game in his first two seasons
Allen - a conference championship game his 2nd season
Hurts - a conference champion game and league appearance in his third year, 2nd as the starter
Purdy - forced to start two-thirds way in his rookie season, conference championship game appearance
Young QBs can get going quickly with a team around them.

I acknowledged those two. Also worth noting that those are two guys and probably future hall of famers. That is not the standard for rookie QB's.
Most starting rookie qbs dont get that kind of team. Lets talk to joe borrow about it.
Most rookie qbs start on terrible teams. Dak started by default....on a good team. Running zeke into the ground and sweet o line.

Rookie Joes o line got him killed. His talent did a lot if it.

You're in no position to care about who they beat along the way. They win a SB against the Jets you going to complain they beat the lowly Jets? A W is a W. You don't get wins for style points.

I mean damn its the playoffs. The Vikings weren't that good, The Giants were that good. The Seahawks weren't that good. Eagles beat the 49ers with Josh Johnson at QB. Do they apologize for it? Why the hell should we apologize for beating a Buccs team that made the playoffs and earned that right by winning down the stretch?

I'd much rather have Chase, Mixon, Boyd and Higgins than Dez, Cole Beasley and Terrence Williams and Zeke. There's no damn comparison at ALL.

You talk about how bad the Buccs were well that Cowboys team won 4 games prior to 2016. If they were so great why did they win 4 games?

Well the original statement was win a ring. It wasn't making it to a conference championship. If the ceiling is making it to a conference championship then point taken. But its been proven that a rookie QB has a ceiling in their rookie year and its not a championship.

The contract extension will happen unfortunately. We all do not have confidence in Dak as he has proven too many times to play like its his
first nfl game when it matters the most. He has to grow a pair to change this narrative. I hope so......dam.
Just curious how "growing a pair" is going to improve his decision making and accuracy.

So lets by a Ford Pinto now because the factory rebate is scheduled to end in a month?
If you feel Dak is a Ford Pinto then that's your issue. His production and resume says he's more than that.

But no, you should get rid of a Ford Pinto. ASAP.

What? No. If you do something 5 times in a row and then the 6th time fail to do it, the 6th one is still an anomaly.

That can change long-term but it's still an anomaly at this point.
Not really. You are ignoring the fact that Dak tried to change his game last season. From the beginning, a common and oft repeated criticism was that Dak threw cautiously and needed to have the receiver wide open. He clearly tried to respond to that and threw much more aggressively at times.

The problem is he is not built for that mentally so we got what we got from him. The combination of his "hunters accuracy" and his cautious attitude will make it very difficult for him to ever be the aggressive playmaker he was trying to be.

Always amazes me when people don't think though the whole team thing with Dak.

Is he the number 1 qb, no but regardless of what many fans think he is top ten and just look at all the non playoff teams and you easily see it. Draft a guy next year, sure if you are sitting with a 4 and 13 record otherwise it is going to cost you a lot more than a 1st and 2nd.

If we drafting at 26, then more likely at least 3 1st to get to the 2nd or 3rd pick and then you better hope you hit on a good one because the fail rate for qbs in the 1st is very high.

As to extending him which they will do, better now than later because the market is going to reset with Herbert and Burrow very soon. If you think Dak is going to take a discount the you are having pipe dreams, never going to happen.

The main reason to extend him now is having plenty of money to extend Diggs and Lamb and a couple of others along with Parsons after the season.

As to cap hell, just not buying it with cap to be near 300 million in 2 years. Baltimore was suppose to be in cap hell yet they resigned Lamar Jackson and signed Beckham. Teams always get around it somehow.

Dak is probably going to be here for at least 4 more years so imagine the hate will keep coming even if he wins a Super Bowl.

Make the pain stop . . . What is your opinion on Big Mike and the New Offense that will be implemented?

I think it should Benefit Dak but if He is unable to adjust or is slow in picking up the new offense . . . Do you think Mike (In Lame Duck Year) will finally bench Him?

If so, does the Fact that The Cowboys did not draft a QB show they have faith in Rush being The Bus Driver or Will Grier's Development . . .

Looking at the Pieces added . . . In regards to "Driving The Bus" . . . Even a Cave Man could do it . . . But Dak may not even be on that level Mentally. If He falters I feel Rush will have a tremendous amount of Success with this team but I am putting my hopes in the more talented Will Grier's

I have High Hopes for Him

What's Your Opinion?
Big Mike's input will have no difference as the lead actor is still the same on offense!
Some here can hate me all they want but the fact remains that our QB does not have starting NFL QB1 talent.
He has been surrounded by the best offensive+Defensive weapons during his career and he remains the #1 reason why we lay those playoff eggs.
I predict this coming season he will implode (If he doesn't get injured again) and at some point, Rush be our new starter.
Mentally (Let's be real here as he sweats like a pig in heat) he's a mess and knows first and foremost he is NOT qualified for the Job.
The pressure this coming season is MASSIVE for him (esp with the NFC East no longer being a pushover) and the boos will be plenty when his tooshie hits the bench that will be the end of the Dak fraudo years in Dallas.
No PR in the world can save him now from meeting his eventual fate of being one of the biggest QB busts that ever wore the Star!!!!
0 Hope as long as # 4 is under center and this has been proven the last years and if we make the playoffs he will once again fail to score the points required to win the game!
P.S. The locker room will be the spark that sends him packing!!!!

Lay off the Pinto…my first car was a Pinto. As a young teenager I drove around every day anticipating blowing up from rear end collisions.

That car gets all the credit for my steely resolve and unflappable nature in the face of adversity. The Pinto and Vienna sausage are the secrets of my success.
