Why did we have grit in Pittsburgh then go flat at home?

I thought “you are what your record says you are” was true?

No matter how you guys downplay it that’s a tough win. Doesn’t mean it means anything but to sit around for hours, play in bad weather, beat a team better than you was a solid win.
The Steelers stink.

There is nothing redeeming about that win. We beat a bad team…. Barely.

Pittsburgh's offense was almost non-functional against us. Their defense was tough, but Dak played a great game and we pulled out a low-scoring win.

This week, the Lions offense was clicking, especially with their run game against our non-existent run defense. They never punted all day and buried us in a 20 point hole like that.

Dak would have to score every drive to keep pace with the Lions. He's just not that guy and our O just doesn't have that kind of horsepower. We got buried and then it was over.

We got what, 3 points out of our first 3 drives? You can deal with a cold stretch like that when you're facing Justin Fields, but not when you're playing a contender.
Dak did not play great.

...this situation is lost in translation. MM had good game plan for Pitt.

In return, that builds momentum. Which feeds the defense.

He fell on his face Vs Det. Zimmers plan also went obsolete. Now given defense had few good players out.

Does not make up for the blowout they heeded.

Coaches were simply out coached. Scary part, its becoming a pattern.

This is on Jerry now, to make right moves save the season.

The dominant team dictates to the other team how the game is going to be played.

Your plan can be to run the ball, but when you have 16 yards rushing in the first half that plan goes out the window.

...I agree, makes the point clearer. McCarthy just not bright enough to make battle plans, A, B, C.... in case things dont to move on plan.

Football is similar game to chess. You try to OUT-Think the other. We dont have the mental tools in right areas to benefit.

bull.
steelers are a good team.
everybody picked steelers to win that game.
they were gonna do to us what the lions did.
we beat'm and now folks act like the steelers are 0-6.
I love this thing where you claim "everyone". Did you know 76.8% of stats are made up?

We are TERRIBLE at in-game management. The same people that think MM doesn't have good CLOCK management fail to recognize all the other aspects and try to deflect the blame to RB's or defense. (which is problematic too of course!).

It;s really a myriad of issues...so beware people the consistently blame just a few things.
