Sacking him 3 times didn't win us the game, dude. We need half a dozen sacks, 8 or 9 knockdowns and a dozen hurries. You know...a MONSTER defense. That's the only way anyone is going to take down NE.

:laugh2: :laugh2:

If the only way to BEAT the Patriots is to sack Brady 6 times then every team might as well pack it in.

I love how so many people out there are already fitting the Patriot's for their rings.

Yeah, that's hilarious. This isn't the Philly O-line.

The Patriots are a great team...
They may be insurmountable for their conference and most of the NFL, and if anyone but Dallas makes the super bowl, I'll pick the Pats. But I think this Cowboy's team is special. If anyone can knock the crap out of them, I think the Cowboys can.

I watched our sole loss and I don't deny it, but I don't think it was a given.
A rematch in the Super Bowl (God willing) doesn't scare me at all.

I am with you.

I have been fighting off all these posters that are all ready to end the season and declare the Pats champions by default.

Yes.

I think... in Romo... we have a guy that can take a BIG HIT(ie. Pats putting points on the board) and come out and answer.

I think we can outlast the Pats... we will keep coming until we break them... they CAN be broken.....

People keep forgetting... they are a finesse team... Moss is soft... Brady is soft.... THAT is the key... got bloody the nose and the lip

Yeah, it's disgusting. Nobody is discounting the Pats to make the SB, but to already give them the trophy? Ridiculous.

I recently just bet the Superbowl... on Bodog the early line is giving the NFC 14.5 points.

No way Cowboys lose by that much to any AFC team in Arizona :)

I think what Hos (my friend) and others are missing is that people are different...

not exactly sure why that is hard for some people to understand...

some can see the great Hoover dam... others see it has leaks... it takes all kinds

What gets my goat is the audacity of some to tell others how to think or try and belittle them for expressing thoughts...

If someone complains about Roy...you can read or not read, agree or disagree, discuss or not discuss, but no..... we got to have people on here that have to complain that others are complaining...and others that complain about the complainers complaining...and then to top that all off... we get to hear from others who believe they have a better insight into life from where they sit and want to depart their wisdom upon all...

This is a discussion board!!!!! were you are suppose to have a free exchange of information... but it is becoming less and less so because of the stu & pid crews that continue to attack the free flow of information...

If you don't like negative comments...tough... don't read/discuss/agree with them... but for sanity's sake quit attacking or belittlin the poster... you cannot change the posters views by such means but you can spam up the board...If you wish to try it with reason you chances of changing the poster's views are greater but by no means great...

same goes with the pollyanna poster

it takes all kinds people... this wish of only being around your type and those that agree with you is selective segregation and if history has taught us anything it is that...that is not the way you should wish to be...

so enjoy the ride the best way you as an individual can...whether that is to praise or to curse, to comend the glory or condem the faults... do not let yourself be swayed by the will of others but to use your own mind and heart as the guide for your own actions.

Rejoice in you individuality and know that those who ridicule you for not following the crowd are weak of will...

This season has been great. At 10-1 anything less than a Super Bowl appearance will be a dissappointment to me. The joy i feel about my team is awesome. Of course in defeat it will hurt all the more. Maybe some just find negatives to protect themselves from getting hurt.

I love that we're doing so well. I'm ecstatic. To be honest it is the best season I can remember. I was only 4 and 5 during the 92 and 93 Superbowls. I remember watching the 95 Superbowl win but I couldn't appreciate it as much as I do now.

The only thing, and the only thing, that brings me down is the Patriots. Without them we'd be the talk of the NFL and Romo would be the lead MVP candidate. Okay, well that and the fact that no one can shut up about the Packers...

See, I don't really remember the greatness of Aikman. I never got to watch Staubach play. I've never watched a game and believed in our quarterback. I believe Romo is going to get us in the endzone. My most vivid memory of watching Aikman was cringing during his last years, riddled with concussions and false hopes. Yeah I lived through the Dynasty of the 90s, but I never realized what was going on all that much. I was just too young.

All you guys talk about experiencing the great teams of the past. You're fans since the Landry days. I love the history, I worship it.

But this team, well, finally, I feel like it's my team. This is my generation. I can experience what all of you talk about. I hope one day, I'll be talking to my future kids about the glory days of Romo and Witten, just like everyone here talks about the greats of old.

So yeah, I'm having a hell of a ride, because I've realized, this really is the first time I've ever experienced it.
What an outstanding post.

Because NE is sitting there like a turd in the punch bowl waiting to crush our dreams come Super Bowl time.
This is what it comes down to for a lot of you guys huh? Jealousy?

I'm sorry we're not New England. Well, not really. I'd hate to be rooting for a team where a cloud is hanging over past accomplishments. I'd hate to be a team drawing heat for running it up. I'd hate to be a team that is putting a bullseye on my QB for these practices.

I don't care about New England. We played them 7 weeks ago. They aren't even in my mind until they need to be.

Enjoy your misery. I guess.

I understand individuality better than anyone. I'm someone who prefers to read the thoughts of people who don't think like me. It isn't individuality that is getting me down. It isn't the complaining and the complaints about complaining.

I said it before, I think there are posters who genuinely dislike each other and want to make sure everyone knows it. They aren't enjoying the ride as you suggest. At least, it doesn't look like it from where I sit week in and week out.

Put them in the same room watching a game and don't tell them who each other are and they'd exchange high fives and yell and shout and have a ball celebrating. Put them on a forum with the free exchange of ideas and they can't stand each other.

Someone said this to me yesterday and there was some truth to it. "The Political Zone is more peaceful right now, than the main forum, and we're 10-1." Politics is where people love to hate each other.

I don't know, I look at this as a brotherhood. This year, more than any other I can remember, it seems dysfunctional. The worst part is, some seem to be enjoying the dysfunction more than the team. I confess, I don't get it. That's what this thread is. My admission that I don't get it.

I'm not saying we should all group hug and sing Kumbaya. But damn, at least have fun. This team is fun.

"Naw, can't do that. I need to eat my fingernails and Maalox and worry about the Patriots. it isn't bad enough that ESPN and every other media outlet out there is riding their jocks, I need to ride their jock too."

No thanks.

As far as disliking other posters goes, I have no axe to grind with any boardmember.

As far as our team goes, I just don't have the same feeling of invincibility that I had with the 93 squad. I know our record is better and all that but still. It's like the boxer Tommy Morrison. He was touted as just awesome when he was coming up. He knocked out a lot of bums and had a shiny 21-0 record. Then the first time he fought a REAL heavyweight he got the crap knocked out of him.

I'm not saying we CAN'T beat NE...I'm just saying it's not looking good.

Hos you are 100% correct in your assesment. It was not a mistake to post this. I love to read what the seasoned vets here on this board write; however I have also learned to ignore or not open several posts for this very reason. I also read the articles writtwn by the staffers. I am very happy for the Cowboys and it is a great time to be a fan.

I agree, great post, I was just complaining to my husband 30 minutes ago about the same thing. When I opened up this morning and found people jumping all over Tony for his "bad day". Manning didn't do much better with Atlanta and I don't suppose anyone told him he had a bad day.
We are blessed, have a good day:)

*sigh*

Jeez, Hos, what a mature rebuttal.

There is nothing wrong with wanting your team to be the best. I am not going to stop being a fan just because we aren't the best yet. Hell, I was a fan when we went 1-15! If I were a fake fan I would have jumped off long ago. Since I am a true fan, though, I am not going to applaud the emperor's awesome new wardrobe.

I hope we do well, of course! Doesn't mean I don't want us to improve our pass rush and secondary coverage.
