I love that we're doing so well. I'm ecstatic. To be honest it is the best season I can remember. I was only 4 and 5 during the 92 and 93 Superbowls. I remember watching the 95 Superbowl win but I couldn't appreciate it as much as I do now.
The only thing, and the only thing, that brings me down is the Patriots. Without them we'd be the talk of the NFL and Romo would be the lead MVP candidate. Okay, well that and the fact that no one can shut up about the Packers...
See, I don't really remember the greatness of Aikman. I never got to watch Staubach play. I've never watched a game and believed in our quarterback. I believe Romo is going to get us in the endzone. My most vivid memory of watching Aikman was cringing during his last years, riddled with concussions and false hopes. Yeah I lived through the Dynasty of the 90s, but I never realized what was going on all that much. I was just too young.
All you guys talk about experiencing the great teams of the past. You're fans since the Landry days. I love the history, I worship it.
But this team, well, finally, I feel like it's my team. This is my generation. I can experience what all of you talk about. I hope one day, I'll be talking to my future kids about the glory days of Romo and Witten, just like everyone here talks about the greats of old.
So yeah, I'm having a hell of a ride, because I've realized, this really is the first time I've ever experienced it.
