With Lance and Rush potentially leaving in the off season, what do we do?

It depends on who is HC here next year. If it’s McCarthy, I could see Will Grier being the backup. I could also see Cooper Rush back on a one year deal, although to me that makes little sense.

I would like to see this team draft and develop a young QB, even if it were a Day 2 pick. The problem there is this is a slim QB class and we don’t know if we will have a HC who is good at developing young QBs.
Draft Will Howard in round 4-5

I'm not sure these two players will be missed much around here, but we have to replace them. You also have a starter in Dak who you don't know will be himself in 2025. What avenue do we go to get backup QB depth. I hope they're seriously considering a vet that can actually throw a pass, and a rookie somewhere in a decent round where the player doesn't need years and years of development. Sitting out behind a starter is key, but if he's that bad then why even pick him up. We honestly need guys that can go in there and help us get wins, not hold us back as if they've never played the position in their football careers. Please give your thoughts
I was going to say celebrate, but then we still have one quarterback that we need to get rid off...

They're not detractors. They're realists. A (in 2025) 10 yr vet coming off his 2nd season ending major leg injury. A guy who has minimal mobility and a less than desirable playoff resume. A proven big game loser. A guy who will command 25% of the entire salary cap by himself. Wow, what's not to love ? Just because we as fans are "stuck" with him, doesn't mean we have to like it.
Said by a hater. I'm going to ignore your 2 cents.

We can't seriously competing next year, so it really doesn't matter in my mind. So that being said, a young developmental lottery ticket.

I'm putting 50/50 odds on whether Dak takes the field in 2025. Injuries, family, guaranteed money. He really doesn't need the Dallas Cowboys anymore.
He's still here (with at least a 15% CAP hit) , regardless of whether he plays or not. This is the endless QB discussion (usually proliferated by Dak-Fans), that there arent many elite QB's. My counter would be that you build the team, from the 'lines' up, then you can elevate the lesser non-1st Rd picks ala Dak, Purdy, Hurts.
