That's you dude, you like to stick your head in the sand and just repeat things like, jealousy and Cowboys and maybe that wasn't just a role for Heath Ledger. That's fine dude, live in a world where you only know the Cowboys. Isolationism works GREAT for North Korea.

However, I am a bit different then you. I want to know how things go in other teams (namely rivals) territory. That way I know what to expect.

Seems more like you like to visit other boards in a vain attempt to 'rain on the parade'?

Too bad.

Not happening here.

Sorry that you apparently have zero to look forward to for the next 5 years.

But that's your problem.

And Snyder's.

Anyways, you guys have your share of homerism here. Do I need to recall the Tom Brady vs. Tony Romo thread?

What do you care?

Nobody forced you to come here!

How do you feel you have any right to criticize what a Cowboys fan says here?

If you don't like it, don't read it.

Just like I don't waste my time with the Commanders sites.

That isn't from me... it's from a Dallas Writer. He's just writing what he's seeing. I hate that for Skins fans.
But you quoted him. If you disagreed, you wouldn't have quoted him, would you?

Do I need to remind you that he had 15 turnovers (for 6 TDs) the last 5 games??? Maybe that's why I'm slightly skeptical... But then again, completing two passes, according to asthmafield, means he's playing at hall-of-fame level.

We watched every snap of those games. Romo was trying to compensate for a defense that fell apart the last month or so of the season... and he still got us to the playoffs. If you watched then you'll know... fix the defense and we go much deeper last year. It wasn't Romo.

Everyone will see that this year. We all know it's wait and see anyway.

Seriously, come back after the season and if Romo is crappy like you think, then I'll openly apologize to you. If he's like many here think... come back if you have the guts. I'll be here.

When I see something stupid (something I think is stupid), I'll call it stupid. I manage to not put my two cents in too much with some of the stroking sessions you guys had, where you claimed you are the kings of the NFL (Hos' embrace the hatred thread comes to mind). If you don't like it, I believe ignore works just fine.

How do I feel the right to criticize anybody, no matter how much I'm "on their turf"??? It's called the first amendment. I can say whatever it is I want, as long as I'm not badgering you or endangering anybody.

I was pointing out reasons for optimism. Reasons you hinted that we didn't have. I showed you a couple of reasons that were there. You disagree and think Tony will be a poor QB. I think he will be one of the best in the NFL right now.

Is that difficult to understand? If you need more reasons that don't include Romo, I can find them for you very easily.

I'm here now, and it doesn't take much guts to come to a forum. IF Romo was trying to compensate for the defense, shouldn't his TDs have gone up too? I mean, if he's throwing more passes, I can understand his turnovers going up, but wouldn't his number of good plays increase too?

I don't think Romo will be horrible, but I'm not sold yet. Take it how you will.

I never said you didn't have a good camp. I said you just don't know how good your camp is yet. You listed reasons why you think they are good, I listed why you just don't know. The only thing that would say it's a good camp is if you came out firing on all cylinders. You haven't come out yet at all, so you don't know.

If you are confused as to why Romo gets so much love on a Cowboys forum, then firehawk, then I have underestimated your level of stupidity.

Which admittedly, I thought was impossible.

Correction: This is a private message board, therefore, first amendment doesn't apply. The owner of this site sets the rules, which doesn't necessarily have to reflect first amendment. The owner also can ban anyone on this site for whatever the reason, not saying he/she will but does have that option at his/her disposal.

It's simple... a QB is trying to win a game where his defense keeps letting the other team score... then he takes chances that he normally wouldn't have. A QB coming from behind has plays called and tries things that a QB in the lead wouldn't have to do. I know you understand that if you watch much football at all.

Seriously, I'm not going to go over all the dynamics of playing QB when you should know them already. If you have to ask that question then maybe you don't know football like I assumed you did.

It's ok to think Romo isn't a shoe in to be great... we're all waiting for this year to see how it unfold... but I have to tell you, it's looking good right now. I know that doesn't mean anything. However, I'll take it over him doing poorly in camp anyday.

For you to not understand how a defense can put a QB in a major jam is a thing of concern though.

I don't think Campbell will be horrible. But he won't maximize the receiver talent yet, so that will be frustrating for you this year.

What happened with Brunell, btw..is he backing up or did he retire...I haven't been keeping up with the Skins.

So, your thing is this.

Us: Camp sure is looking good. We're hearing lots of good things, and some bad things. We have some decent optimism for the upcoming season for a playoff team.

You: You can't know whether it's good or not. Noone knows til it's on the field against live competition.

Thank you sherlock. If we need any other marvelous insights, or inane observations about the game of football - we've got your number, Captain Obvious.

We do get a play by play pretty much from the Dallas Morning News... so we know at least a little about how things are unfolding. There are many, many reports about who's doing good and who's doing bad. The press conferences from the coach is another way we can get a feel for who's performing and who isn't.

There are lots of ways to get a feel, and you're either thick or being argumentative to say there's not when there clearly is. Is it infallable? Of course not, but more times than not you can tell.

Overall participation of players??? Eh, you are missing your two starting tackles. Your fourth round draft pick and one of your back-up ILBs. Not great...

Installation of new players/schemes? How do you know if they are being picked up yet, unless you know the play on that particular drill? Coaching interaction with players? Just because it's a friendly atmosphere doesn't mean the coaches are interacting well with the players.

Anyways, your just guessing as to the state of those two things. You "hope" you are doing well in those things, but you just don't know.
So, our training camp sucks because our starting two tackles haven't participated? Damn, it's a good thing they have some starting experience to fall back on in the established offense, eh?

Why is our projected fourth wide receiver scaring you guys, anyway? Better question. Why do you care if Burnett is hurt? He is a b-a-c-k-u-p, right?

Try asking about Terry Glenn's health if you want to make your comments more viable in this thread.

If you don't understand the two atmospheres, which surrounded Parcells and his players and Phillips with his players, you'll never understand how well the coaches and players will interact--regardless of your personal opinion.

What I hope is irrevelent. What is actually happening is revelant. Our team had a good week of camp. That's all that's important. How's that reply to BigDFan5 going?

Vinny Testaverde
Chad Hutchinson
Quincy Carter
Drew Bledsoe

These were the major starters between Romo and Aikman. There were also a couple of minor starters of a game or 2.

Do I need to remind you that he playe din the Pro Bowl in 2006?

Do I need to remind you again, that he dates hot women, judges beauty contests, plays scratch golf, sings with rock bands, and is funny?

Yes, we love the guy. Get over it already.

Yeah, your right. Your right, you can ban me. I doubt I'd lose much sleep to it, but it's obvious that this message board's leadership, or ownership, DOES care about free speech so if you disagree with me, fine, I don't care. Disagree.

But, you are "feeling good" about your team on your space, then call other people homers for feeling good about their team on their space and that, my friend, is hypocritical.

You can have your rah-rah threads, where everyone gets excited about the 07 Boys and for the most part, I stay outta those. That's fine, I get excited about the Skins. But, don't rag on people if, on their team's message boards, they do the same thing.
