SF proved you don’t have to draft a QB high to find a good one. The Cowboys traded a 4th round pick for a developmental QB. I wouldn’t go as far as to say the next QB we win with will be drafted high. Craig Morton, Troy, Aikman, and Steve Walsh are the only QBs the Cowboys have ever used a first round pick on.
Well yeah, that seems to be the plan.

If you don't have a QB that can win a super bowl, you have a QB problem.

The Cowboys have a QB problem. The evidence is overwhelming at this point.
KJJ, like others say we have a team problem not a QB problem. Hmm, I wonder how that team won 12 games three years in a row but when the lights come on for our QB that won 12 games to get into the playoffs he comes out and throws pics right out the gate to give the opposing team a 14 point lead leaving the defense on the field again. No wonder the defense was tired during the last game, Dak could not lead the offense until late in the game when the other team felt sorry for the Cowboys and called off the dogs.

Then KJJ says that Maholmes could not win with this team? Dak took this team to 12 season wins, then he got into the playoffs. Had Maholmes took this team to 12 wins and got into the playoffs, he is not going to freak out, he will most likely win that game, but I guess we cannot do better than Dak. That is why season wins against soft teams don't mean much to me...Dak needs to roll out of here and let another QB, anyone, come in because enough is enough. Let Lance play this season and win 4 or 5 games get a high draft pick and go look for another QB.

And this coming season the coaches can get the defense and running game fixed with some "non generational" players. However, IMO, if Dak is on the team next season, enjoy those 12 wins...if they ever do that again. Good luck with all that.

That is all Dak is. Stopgap. Where is the Cowboys plan to draft a young QB to groom???

Instead we're going to give him an extension that is light years beyond ridiculous.
Hate to inform you, but Dak isn’t a stopgap. He’s about to receive his third contract that will pay him a ton of money. He wouldn’t have received a second contract if he wasn’t viewed the long-term answer.

How many teams have a QB that can win a Super Bowl? I got news for you there’s only four current starting NFL QBs that have won a Super Bowl. Mahomes, Russell Wilson, Rodgers and Mat Stafford. According to you 28 teams have a QB problem because none of those other teams have a QB that has proven they can win a Super Bowl. There’s 25 starting NFL QBs that have never led their team to a Super Bowl. There’s overwhelming evidence the Cowboys have a team/management problem that spans almost 30 years.

Stopgap. Progress stopper. Merchandise mover. Ratings driver. Playoff choker.

He is a man of many nicknames. No matter how much money he makes.

You are right about one thing. He is viewed as the long term answer. The long term answer to all the Cowboy haters who don't want them to win a super bowl any time soon.

Depends on what you want from this team. If you want to win a SB you blow this team up and start trading players for draft picks. They MUST get a top QB to build around. Parsons and Lamb are a complete waste of talent right now. Let them go to contenders. If you just want to put people in the stands sign Dak and put a bag over your head.
Yep as the local Supermarkets have extra bags for the season's kickoff.
We are ready!!

No QB is going to win a Super Bowl with the lack of mental toughness this team keeps showing year after year. I don’t think even Patrick Mahomes could win a title with this team and defense. What we’ve been seeing with the Cowboys has been going on since Troy Aikman‘s last few years with the team. Fans were booing him because the teams around him weren’t very good. We couldn’t win a playoff game with the triplets their last few seasons. If you want to keep pointing the finger directly at the QB go ahead.

I will when he has already proven he can't win the super bowl. Nothing else the Cowboys do matters.
There’s 28 starting QBs in the NFL that haven’t proven they can win a Super Bowl. No QB is going to win a championship with this defense. That side of the ball has the biggest group of quitters. They get hit with one good punch and fold.

You may end up with a dud player with his #2 scenario. If you end up with a slightly less talented player how do you know they’ll have a lot of intestinal fortitude? To win championships you need highly talented players with a lot of intestinal fortitude. If you read the posts on this board, most of the fans wouldn’t have a clue how to build a championship team. Lol
Jerry obviously doesn't know how

How many teams have a QB that can lead a team to a SB? More than just four. Purdy, Hurts, Burrow, Garropolo and Goff have recently been to a SB and in it til the very end.

Dak can't even get to an NFCCG and has only won 2 wildcard games in 8 years.

Exactly. The Chiefs with Alex Smith could never get farther than the Cowboys with Dak. That said, Dallas has alot of problems higher up than Dak.

Moving on from Dak leads to being mediocre.
No, moving on leads to being bad, which is what we need. Some top of the draft talent in here.

Jerry made our bed when he started drafting injured LB's and TE's in the 2nd. The holes caused by those huge draft snafus are the gifts that keep on giving.

None of the QBs you just listed have won a Super Bowl. I left out Hurts as one of the starting QBs that made it to a SB. Jimmy G made it to a Super Bowl because of the great team around him. The Raiders benched him and he’s no longer a starter. The Cowboys haven’t been to an NFC title game in almost 30 years. You can’t pin that on Dak. No matter the QB the team can’t get it done.
