Let’s see how we respond . That’s when we’ll know if this season is on the brink of a total collapse.

But we knew this was going to be more of a transitional season with all of the weaknesses going in along with all of the starters we lost in FA.

Anybody that had more than 8 or 9 wins predicted way over optimistic.

You gotta put losses like this behind you. What happens next is more important .
Losses "like this" keep showing up more often though.
What has happened next is a continuation of more losses like this.

They're just saving themselves for San Francisco I'm sure.

We’ve rebounded overall this year so far after losses. Even against Ravens we made a comeback.

This is is who we are. The better teams are going to whip our butts.

Only loss questionable so far is Saints.

We have been underdogs in 3 straight games now . And will be in SF as well. These are games we should expect to lose.

I’m pleased with our wins in Cleveland and Pittsburg. Didn’t expect those.

I had us as 1-5 or 2-4 at best at the bye. Our schedule softens up a bit in second half of season.

I’m feeling ok at 3-3.

So is a total beat down by SF an acceptable response to the asswhuppin the Lions just gave them?
I'm trying to figure out how to gauge the team response.

Not sure how you make the players care tbh. Parsons, dak and ceedee supposedly others don't care.

I used to think about this, but I came to the conclusion that it's a waste of time.

You'll only get a headache playing this little game.

Honestly I think we will have a much better performance in SF but still lose. Prob by a couple scores. And fans won’t be any happier .

Cowboys are still #1 in Revenue. Stadium is full. No reason for change . Jethro has a very popular and profitable product. Doesn’t matter if it suks on the field .

Short-term:
-Move Guyton back to LT because this season is a wash anyway and he should get the experience
-Consider benching Martin and putting in Bass
-Cut Elliott and move Vaughn to the PS, elevate Cook
-More running under center in 11 and 12 personnel
-More 1st down play action passing
-Implement RPOs and read options
-Screen plays (RBs and bubble screens) in the redzone
-Less shotgun running

Long-term:
-Bye bye Lawrence, Martin and Cooks
-Sign the top veteran FA NT and grab a veteran WR with size who can serve as a legit #2
-Have Bass compete with a rookie in the early rounds for the RG spot
-Transition to a 34 defense with Parsons/Williams as the OLBs
-Hire Ben Johnson as the HC

By participating in life threatening activities.

Sky diving over active volcanos?

Hunting lions with a bow and arrow?

Calling Mike Tyson a punk to his face?

Swimming across the Mara River during migration season?

Not a bad proposal at all.
Nice job.

Their only option is to trade Parsons and hope they can get a couple of draft picks. Combine that with picking high in every round from a crappy season and they may be able to pull off a semi rebuild in a season and a half. Dak and Ceedee are locked in, Dak has no trade clause and I’m not sure any NFL team wants to take on CeeDee’s contract.

This is a lost season. Not enough was done to realistically compete. Jerry could have easily signed one of the premier free agent running backs and defensive tackles in free agency and chose not to. With that said I would prefer that this team goes in on the rebuild this year but at the same time holds players accountable for soft play. I would also start cutting players that do this team no good.
Short term: Cut Elliot and cut Duece and try to get him to the practice squad. I would not move up Cooks and would even consider cutting him from the practice squad as well. I would trade a 6th rounder to the Jets for Israel Abinakanda. I don't know if he can be a legitimate starter or not but I know he offers more than Zeke and Vaughn. I would then sign Michael Carter from the Cardinals practice squad. I would not expect either back to be ready to play and would activate Malik Davis until they are able to get acclimated. With the bye coming up this should be done immediately.
I would also cut Trey Lance. Dak is already locked up long term. He does us no good on the roster. I would use his roster spot to sign a DT from someones practice squad. Gabe Hall from the Eagles practice squad would be my target to get a developmental 3 tech.
I would come up with a bogus injury to Mazi Smith and put him on injured reserve. I don't blame Mazi for totally sucking. This coaching staff really screwed the pooch by making him drop the weight last year. I would put him on ice and start having him put on weight for next year while hitting the weights. I would use his spot to get poach Justin Rogers back from the Bengals. I think Rogers might have felt he was better than Mazi and was probably upset that he got cut. That's probably the reason he chose the bengals practice squad over ours. Broadus often stated that Rogers looked better at training camp than Smith.
I would start Smith at LT, Bass at G, Start Hoffman at G, and Start Guyton at RT. This line is going to have to get in sync. Martin is done and Steele is just plain awful. They should not be starting simply based on their names and contracts. I would not cut them as injuries happen but I would bench them now and by done with it.
I would bench both Hooker and WIlson. Both of them have been very undisciplined. I would start Bell and Thomas at both safety spots. This would send a message to the players that are half assing it out there. If you don't do what is asked of you, you don't play.
