So tell us...for real...what other teams think of Zeke.

None of this "nobody signed him yet" rigamaroll either. That is ZERO indication. Key word is "yet".

When the season starts...Zeke is on the couch eating Doritos.... THEN you can say "See Steve...TOLD YA! NOBODY signed him!".

I am certain that ain;t happening. But you can keep that up your sleeve if ya want.
Well we keep hearing how he’s the most amazing short yardage back in football and the draft is over. The way some Cowboy fans can’t seem to contain their admiration, you would think that there would be activity. He even named 3 teams right after his release and they quickly shot it down. He’ll sign somewhere for the season strictly as an insurance plan but he’s certainly not on any teams radar to be any more than that. I’m just pointing out the completely lopsided take from select Cowboy fans compared to the rest of the league.

“One of the best if not the best”??? That doesn’t coincide with what’s actually happening.

You mean like yourself? Let me guess, you watch the all 22 film and act like you understand what's going on :lmao:
It probably takes someone without a heartbeat to not be able to discern what is happening in football...a fancy name or specialized selection term isn't needed for one to understand simple functions in a specific play. Understanding can be on many levels....think?

He’s a first down , on third down. Making machine. One of the best if not the actual best blocking running back in the league right now. I have no problems taking him back for the right money. He never hurts the camaraderie. Nothing but upside.
Cheap contract. He can hold out and hope that a playoff team has an injury at rb and pay him well to come in. But he won’t get picked up by a team that’s got a shot at SB and get paid well unless that happens. He can come back on a cheap deal here and get incentives. I do feel we have a shot. JJ wants him back. No way of knowing if his injuries cost him his burst or he just lost it. He isn’t a 40+ yard runner but when healthy he can pick up 10+ all day

Zeke would probably rather play somewhere else than play second fiddle to Pollard. You would also think he would be tired of the fan abuse. Once a player declines with this organization the fans crap all over them. Just look at the current players we have that take abuse from the fans. When a player moves on from the Cowboys, there’s no thanks for the memories from fans, it’s good riddance.

its the curse of the second contract... I have to admit that was a smart play by Zeke but really dumb by the FO on his second contract. Zeke was a great back unfortunatly his position sealed his fate when it comes to being liked after a second contract.

It was a smart move by him, but the Cowboys had no choice but to pay him. Our season fell apart in 2017 with him out of the lineup due to a suspension. He was coming off a 1400 yard season when he got paid. He was a big part of our offense and we needed him.

In the short term yes but this marriage was destin to end this way after that went down, the position demands it ends this way.

I took a peek at Jerry's TO-DO- List and it read:

1) Enshrine Jimmy into the ROH
2) Hire a real GM
3) Enroll in AA
4) Resign Zeke

I like a door stored bottle of Don Padron in my fridge...and a salt shaker.

All they had to do was call his bluff, let him stay in cabo for 3 games and watch pollard
Light it up. Jones might have actually woken up and seen what a few of us saw in pollard.

The huge mistake of resigning zeke might never have happened.

Pretty much every second contract with an RB is destined to end with the player declining. Some of the reason his yards went down was due to Pollard getting more opportunities. Despite 14 starts last season, he still put up just under 900 yards and 12 TDs. Through all the years he was here he was an excellent blocker, and was still able to push the pile for critical yards and move the chains. Most of the hate he was receiving from fans was because he wasn’t putting up 1300 yards per season and couldn’t break off long runs. Fans didn’t care that he was still good at punching the ball into the end zone and picking up a critical yard. Granted he was no longer worth what he was being paid, but he still provided value to the team in the role he ended up in.

Tyron Smith may be falling apart but he’s still an elite offensive lineman and I’m glad he’s on our team and not someone else’s.
