News: Zeke investigation complete

We can still be all of that without Zeke.

If our QB play is terrible it won't matter if Zeke is back there or not.
Zeke is a big part of Dak's success. I'm not saying Dak will suck without Zeke, but I don't know how he will do. Teams are not going to fear Morris and life will be harder for Dak. We will see how he handles it.

If the league is suspending guys for personal conduct, then they have to suspend Zeke. One infraction in itself is not a big deal, but the kid is in the news for an issue every other month it seems. In reality, Jerry should have disciplined him already and put a stop to it. But we all know that wont happen. So looks like the league may do it. And it might be the best thing for him.

So blame TMZ. I mean, he hasn't made the smartest decisions, but besides the alleged DV there has been nothing illegal.

This whole thing is plain stupid. Every week we hear either this or that, either no suspension or 2 games/1 game/4 games/now 6 games. Fact, no one but Goddell knows, fact, Elliott if suspended is going to challenge, fact, if suspended and appealed, # of games will be reduced, fact, the NFL already has a black eye for something they took for to long to decide, fact, Elliott lawyers will go after the NFL in terms of the CBA, money, time of situation, etc, fact, anything would be better than dragging it on another day.

I have a difficult time imaging that there would be anything that would warrant a lengthy suspension that wasn't already known.

I do, too. But since there's zero legitimate basis for a suspension based off of what *is* known, if a long suspension comes down, there pretty much has to be something to justify it. Right?

Right now we have a 3.125% chance, same as every other team.

Yah, Im going to have to say its higher then that. We are definitely in the top 3rd of the league if not higher even with these suspensions.

I agree with all of that. Teams may not fear Morris but it doesn't matter. Any RB in this league can have big production. Especially in an offense like ours that is built to run.

Dak isn't a rookie anymore either.

So for us to fall off the cliff it will take Dak being an absolute disaster.

Fight it! Fight it! Fight it!

If the NFL is allowed to continue this farce, it will never end, and players throughout the league will be the victims of similar witch hunts.

Close Pandora's Box now.

Don't show up for the Week One game. Then let Goodell and Mara tell NBC why they don't have a game for them.
Not a bad idea. NFL shouldn't be punishing players that haven't been convicted of a crime.

It is really going to suck when Goodell(Lucy) takes the suspension(football) away and announces next week just to keep us hanging.....

Yea thats cool and all but its pretty clear NOW that a final decision is imminent

Yes, if you predict something will come true enough times it will eventually come true. An old trick by gypsy fortune tellers and sports gambling experts.

Dak will then use Dez, Beasley, Switzter, TWill, Butler, Witten, etc. more. The playbook will just open more in the passing game with Zeke gone.

It doesn't have to be illegal for the league to suspend.

The league can, literally, suspend for whatever reason without any consistency because the players union was dumb enough to agree to those terms.

The Cowboys will still be one of the top rushing teams in the NFL without Zeke.

The league has no burden of proof to fans. They can say whatever they want to justify it.

Meaning, I fully expect them to say something like that, but never actually provide any proof. If so, I'll just believe they're pretty much full of it, and doing more harm to Zekes reputation by letting people's imaginations go wild.

That would be such a cop out. "6 games, because uhh we totally found something. What was it? Hey, what's that over there?!" *smoke bomb* *falls over the podium, curses and runs out of the room*

At some point during this ordeal, Zeke probably got a new cell phone and got rid of his old one. The NFL is probably going to justify a suspension by saying that we was obstructing the investigation by getting rid of the old phone.

Oh give me a break. The only thing that stuck was pulling a woman's shirt down and a speeding ticket. Yes, a speeding ticket....

Everything else was proven to be false.

BTW, I expect our defense to be poor early on.

But with the youth, guys coming back from suspension, and the Jaylon Smith X-factor I have no idea what they will look like around Late November and December. Nobody does but at least this defense has upside compared to years past.

OK, Roger, now is the time. On my sign, unleash hell.

Just trying to gauge your opinion. Never mind if you cant handle the conversation. Personally I would give it 10-15% chance?

Those are good odds far as Im concerned. Forgive me for being snide, I just dont like to speak in absolutes. Always and never are usually a set up. So proclaiming we wont win the superbowl anyways is a little silly. Hope springs eternal this time of year. While I wouldn't bet against the field I like our chances with half a dozen other teams.
