Admit it, you can't name those guys who doesn't need those things. Mahomes, Brees, and Brady have had that or currently has that. Dak isn't asking for Mahomes, Rodgers, or Brees money. When he signs, it will take about 36M per to get it down with about 100M of that guaranteed. Jerry and Stephen will finally give him a four year deal. They made the mistake of not signing him in the last year of his deal. They made the mistake in signing Zeke to an extension early. Bottom line is we can win a SB with Dak but he can't do it alone. NO QB IN THE LEAGUE CAN. That is my point. It takes a team to go all the one, not one individual.

I did name them are you blind. Put on your glasses. Why did Brady have more talent around him than most because he took less money. Mahomes has a nice recieving core but his OL is not top five and his defense is suspect and yet he wins the SB. Brees is not surrounded by elite talent and yet is a playoff contender all most every year. Russell Wilson runs around for his life and makes the playoffs. Im tired of you Dakstans making excusses. Dak is not worth 36 mill/yr when we can get the same production from Dalton for much less. There is this little thing called a salary cap have you heard of it ? Thats why teams with a QB on a rookie deal can get expensive elite players. Dak needs to take less money period if he wants to stay in Dallas other wise just like Cousins he will have to get the heck out.

Also the same old calls.

Moore needs to take alot of the blame here.
I bet when they went over the offense MM told Kellen when he was in GB he loved it when they ran just short of the sticks on decisive downs. Kellen obviously kept all of them marked as preffered plays to convert.

....again, that is great for Dak's personal stats and his desire for a huge contract extension but what did thoise stats get him as the QB of the Dallas Cowboys: an 8-8 season with no playoffs.
Oh im sorry I forgot hes the only reason we didnt make the playoffs. lol

I am not saying that is the only reason but clearly the inability of a QB to lift the team to another level goes into winning and losing.

You referenced Dak's near 5,000 yards passing so that's like giving kudos to Jameis Winston for passing for 5,109 yards in 2019......which led TB to a 7-9 record and saw Winston sign a back up contract this off-season.

How about the ability of the team to lift the QB who threw for almost 5000 yards?

Well, last time I checked the QB is usually the highest paid position on the team and more often than not the QB is the position that is seen as the leader of the team so why would Dak require the team to have to lift him up instead of the other way around?

Dak wasn’t the problem.

Passing up a FG to tie the game was a big mistake.

Defense sucks as usual.

Yes that was a Huge mistake ,

And McCarthy needs to shoulder a lot of the blame .

WHY ?:

Because he should have been aware DAK is a CHOKER ! And cannot and will not ever handle pressure well . So putting Dak in that situation, knowing he stinks did not help the outcome .

Lets all start being honest and agree DAK SUCKS.

Look at his eyes on those last 2 drives and tell me he isnt Scared.

Heck, he **** his pants !@

Oh I see even the best QB's NEVER EVER have bad games or halves. To listen to Prescott haters there should be at least 4 or5 unbeaten teams every season because the really good QB's overcome everything and all the bad play by his team mates every game and there isn't any possible reason for those QB's to ever lose a game.
.
.

I dont think it was a particularly bad Dak performance, it was a usual Dak performance. Competent drives that fail as soon as we need to pass in and around the RZ when the field condenses.

The fact that yesterday's QBR was higher than last seasons average just shows how relying on stats is a flawed concept.

I really wonder if MM will trust Dak after the inability to execute the 4th down? Can blame the coach (yes), but those are the situations where the star QB uses his magic.....unfortunately Dak showed what he is, a safe QB that doesn't have that star quality.

This is the MANTRA of the Dakinstans

Always thier fall back argument

STATS

No. I'm just saying this is a game we should've won. 3 out of 4 times we win that game. Rams outplayed us the entire game and scored only 20 points....by some measure of luck. We played much better than 17 points. 17 points was not a reflection of the way we played last night. I thought 24 or 25 was more an accurate score. We just have to put more points on the board when we play well enough to score more.

But I get the complaints:

"Dak is not elite. Not worth 40 million" - AGREED
"Dak should score more than 3 points in the 2nd half." - AGREED
"Dak didn't lose the game, but he didn't win it either." - AGREED

Now let's move on, and stop beating this over the head, and act like everyone are idiots. I get it. Loud and clear.

This is a nonsensical statement you can say 9 out of 10 times we win. Or 99 -100 times we win

Truth is 1 out of 1 times we lost. And they didnt wim by luck and desput the stats Dak sucks.

And i didnt call you an idiot. So theres that

Never has the bar been lowered for a Cowboys quarterback..........but its 2020 and the lunatics are running the asylum.

Dakota and his 3 point half's will continue and his sycophants will keep dreaming up new excuses. Dalton should have been called in to start the 4th quarter.

Vanilla offense......vanilla quarterback

Yall lowered the bar for Romo. Yall just conveniently don't remember anything before the "Dez Caught It" season. Yall were trying to run him out of town too.

That was a good defensive play with the defender in perfect position, and though not perfect, Lamb caught the ball in stride without slowing down. Sometimes defenses just make good plays.
because Ceedee is very talented...no I don't think he slowed down. But Dak didn't throw him open either. That means you lead him away from defense and let CeeDee accelerate to the ball AWAY from slower defenders.

It was NOT a great pass. Very very average. Dak throw to where Ceedee was...NOT where he was going to be if he could turn on the jets. Someone even made a post about WR speed....well if they have to reach down and behind how can they possibly turn on the speed?

Look.....I'm not ready to give up on Dak. It's still early...new coach...first game....away...against a good team. ....but come on. You are making excuses here. Flat out doing your very best to protect Dak from any from of criticism whatsoever. It's very unbecoming. Dak is a grown *** man in his 5th year. Negotiating contracts as if a top 3.

That pass keeps him from being that. That play is what makes a QB elite. Have to recognize the defense is closing fast...and throw away from it. It''s almost like Dak does't see it at all.
