Probably a smart move, but the 1-year contracts could have option year. If a safety stays healthy and plays well, maybe we can exercise the option and then extend. I like several safeties in the mid rounds of the draft. Competition is good.
Kazee can play when he’s healthy

It takes 2 to tango, these players do not want to sign for 2 years because the cap will go up significantly next year and they want to take advantage of that.

crazy 5 days ago this place said the DC dont value the S position they sing Neal, Kearse, and Kazee ,add wilson who luvs contact id say we have a lot of competition in TC to find the best 2 to start..

..sure none are earl Thomas but 3 DL, 3 S, whats next. Maybe quinn has Jerrys ear right now and thats good..

draft still a month away !!

I think you'll see guys like Neal and Kearse instead of a traditional 3rd LB. Maybe Kearse backs up Wilson at SS and then can also backup Neal at his LB/SS hybrid role. Good to see these guys give Kazee a shot at FS instead of playing it safe with Woods. Still need to draft a FS to develop long term and in case Kazee gets injured.

No, what is negative is your continued name calling of those who do not wear rainbow colored glasses so you label them haters and trolls as that is the cheap and easy approach rather than engage in meaningful dialogue with people. That said, you go your way and continue your behaviors in whatever way you seem fit.
You reap what you sow. Deal with it.

I haven't seen the football find a player like this since Ed Reed, it's amazing how many deflections end up in his hands.

Anyone know the terms yet? I preface that by saying that will determine what they do in the draft early on. If they spent they won’t draft one early.

I saw that it was a 1 year deal for around 2 mil. i might be wrong on the value.

Well good. That means they might draft one early. Had it been 5 million or more they wouldn’t have drafted one early to have him sit on the bench if they might be better.

This is the safety I've been asking for since the season ended.

Familiar with Quinn, is a playmaker, a low risk high reward move. If he comes back from his injury we will finally have a rangy fs who will get into. He compliments wilson very well but doesnt stop us from drafting someone.

Likewise....and you really should develop some new material as the hater, troll, and reap what you sow lines have gotten old and boring.....at least be an original and instead of stealing overused material from social media teens try conjuring up something that belongs to you and you alone for that is what makes one an original and not just another replicated relic too inconsequential to have any real impact or meaning to themselves or others.

No way we undervalue the position now. Atl pass defense was probably top 5 with these two we just plucked away.

I don't understand how anyone can take this signing as a bad thing. The dude's a ballhawk and takeaways are one of our weaknesses. It gets Xavier Woods out the door and that is a good thing. Between Kazee, Wilson and Neal we now have a secondary that will have receivers hearing footsteps. Throw in Dan Quinn drawing up the plays and instilling the culture and we are already so much better than we were last year on that side of the ball and we haven't even gotten to the draft yet.
That isn't real, it's in your head or as others say, on paper. It can all happen but we don't know really anything yet. It's all very fluid.

I hear you, but I'm more than a little tired of signing "if..." and "low risk" players. Guess that's all they can do based on the cap, but that's been the case for years now, and what has it gotten the Cowboys?

Just once I'd like to see a free agent signed that is a Pro Bowl-level guy, and plays that way in Dallas. Who was the last one? Glover?
