The NFL is all about trying to reduce wear and tear on players and injuries. The longer OT lasts the more chance of injury, especially to key players and it makes it more difficult for teams to recover the following week. This is why they shortened OT to 10 minutes. It’s a long season.I just don't think it's going to hurt anything if a team scores a TD in regular season to then have to go on defense vs. the game being over. Is one more possession going to cause like 10 injuries? No it isn't, it's just stupid it should be fair in the regular season like it is in the post season. Any time you let a flip of a coin decide a QB never gets a chance that is unfair.
