Gallup was still better than Tolbert. He was our only WR to show up in the playoffs. We continue to lose talent. We’re going to be banking on a lot of young players next season.
I'm hoping the plan is not to just hand the role to Tolbert or find a later-round gem. Of course, the alternative is probably this front office going after another James Washington instead of actually improving the spot.

Probably the most obvious offseason move. I expect he'll be getting a call from the commanders shortly.

Bad contract. He should have gotta a 1 year ext. last year.

That’s Jerry thinking he is getting a bargain with Gallop coming off injury.

Brooks will get an opportunity to compete. One of them needs to really step up.

The QB never comes off his first read anyway.
Might as well throw another TE or Tackle in the huddle.

It's odd to sign an injured player then cut him once he
begins to show signs of returning to form. But hey, that's Dallas for ya. I look for Gallup to excel wherever he ends up. Just like Amari Cooper did.

I just really hate relying on players who haven't proven anything. Third receiver is essentially a starter, but we're treating it as a tryout spot. And we're handing the No. 2 spot to Cooks when I don't think he's shown that he deserves it.

Of course, for all I know, we could draft a receiver in the first round. And I still think we might go with a cheap vet addition. But I could see the front office saying we drafted these players so we need to let them play.

My belief is that you draft players with the hopes that they will be good enough to surpass veterans but you don't just hand them the job.

Cooks easily took hold of the number 2 spot later in the season. He started real slow but came on and finished with 8 TDs. He’s an experienced receiver with speed so he’s clearly our number 2. However, we need a solid number 3. They’ll be competition this summer.

Yet he led the NFL in passing TDs last season and threw for over 4500 yards.

Must've been lucky I guess, or maybe Gallup and Tolbert carried him...

I got it, everyone loaded the box vs our amazing running game....

Lighten up, Francis.
The running game was awful. Yes.

Simply look at the targets. Nearly every play is drawn up for Lamb.
