Tyron hands everyone their butt.:)

That is true, I just think 235 to 240 at DE is small. I'm jusr skeptical, I know some will throw up names like Von Miller but I think the odds of him being a Von Miller is a lot less than being what he is which is an undersize DE who will struggle.

I've got a webcam and a bunch of draft guides.

What about the high fives, the Papa Johns pizza and the mistressssss.....*ahem* secretary sitting back in the corner in way too short of a skirt*?

*This isn't really a thing. Skirts cant be too short. It was a comedic device.

I am absolutely certain, beyond a sliver of a shadow of doubt, you have a significant number of players on this team who smoke copious amounts of weed. I would also wager they're some of the better players on the team.

There is no problem with that ? Yeah see Josh Gordon , ask him if he is working this year.

I would rather have a pass rushing DE that is a little light but has long arms, than a guy who has more weight but has shorter arms.

Another 20 pounds wouldn't help Gregory much against Tyron Smith... but an inch and a half on his arm length would do more to help him IMO.

With arms that are 34" long, Gregory will have arms nearly as long as many of the OT's that would be blocking him. Not Tyron Smith though who has almost 37" arms.:omg:

IMO, if Dallas did draft Gregory they would play him at DE. Probably would have him in on the nickle as a rookie. Next year, he'd probably have more ballast for the run game.

And I would rather have an everydown player who can hold up vs run and get after the QB. He is listed around 235 to 240 he is OLB and in a 3-4 I think he could shine I think in the 4-3 I think he will struggle at this level

I agree. I don't want Gregory and it has nothing to do with pot. I admit I only saw two of his games this year, but he did not look like a stud DE in those games.

I think most people view him in that hybrid LB/DE combo. His weight would be far less of a factor there. He would also have more space to move, which given his athletic ability and lateral quickness, could make him lethal. He already has a fabulous inside rush and swim move.

Oh there we go, there is the knee jerk, jump to extremes reaction. People who work on extremes are far more of an issue than potheads. That's for certain.

For every Josh Gordon, there are probably 30 guys you never hear about. I have personally smoked with several NBA players that have never been linked to anything. It's about lifestyle and decision making, not smoking pot.

If Dallas thinks the way you do then there is no chance they will draft him because LB's in this scheme do not rush the passer. The only way to get your money's worth out of Gregory in the Dallas defense is to play him at DE. If they think he isn't a DE then they will not take him, period. They aren't going to take on a troubled player and deal with all the risk and headaches unless they think he can get them sacks.

Just listening to Mad Dog radio, Dan Jeremiah was just on and he said He got a call late last night, basically saying Dallas would take a huge gamble on Gregory at 27.

Given the other options available I'd sprint to the podium to take Gregory. He's great.

Sorry I see him as a part time player, yes he can come in on passing downs I think he is swallowed up and spit out as teams run the ball. If Dallas drafts him and expect him to play DE he will have to bulk up just as Ware had to do when we shifted from the 3-4 to the 4-3. As for his play at OLB he is not a guy who is great in coverage, his job at Neb was a pass rusher. Problem is this is not college any longer. Guys like Irvin in Seattle they are not bothering to pick up the option on his deal and why would they when he pretty much is a part time player.

Which was one of my comments, Dallas does not blitz the LB enough to play to his strength and in my own view I don't think he is a guy who will have success at DE at this level. He would really have to bulk up

For what it's worth, which may not be much to some, Jay Glazer was on Dan Patrick yesterday. He said he gets a lot of info on players from not just teammates/coaches, but from talking to college wrestlers. The wrestlers often train with, party with, and in general just run in the same circles as the football players.

Based on the people Glazer talked to, he said he would absolutely 100% not touch Gregory. He seemed really concerned about his weed problem and said if it's that bad in Nebraska, it's not going to get any better going under a brighter spotlight. On the flip side, he said everything he's heard about Shane Ray is that he's a good, hard-working kid who is worth taking because even though he made a stupid mistake, "that's not who he is."

Take it with a grain of salt, but I consider Glazer to be pretty plugged in.

Name someone who would come in at 27 and not be a part-time player.

Greg is a pot head, he had issues with pot since he been in college. Im sorry I'm not sugar coating this guy issues. Who do drugs when you know there is a test coming ???

This is not a one off incident . Yeah people smoke and all is good until they get a violation. In Greg case he will come in with a strike. I'm not saying he is a criminal or will hurt someone but for my premium picks I would prefer someone without any substance abuse issues or heavy baggage.

Interesting. Thanks for that. I think, personally, part of the issue is Ray isn't as talented of a pass rusher as Gregory. His strength is he is so versatile, which would also be nice.
