Ok, I'm in Houston now.and am going to try to get to a Whataburger. What should I order?

This has been a long time coming.

I generally just order straight cheeseburger. (or double cheeseburger) Though you definitely want the fries and spicy ketchup!!!

Wasn't able to close the deal tonight, fellas. I did have a nice cowboy bone-in ribeye, though.

Was down in the Phoenix, AZ area this last weekend and I finally ate at a Whataburger for my first time. Damn. I was impressed. Dare I say it could edge out an In-N-Out Burger?? Both are great hamburgers but I can say I liked Whataburgers fries better.

Needless to say, I was fat and happy all weekend with all my choices. :D
I’ll take a Whataburger over a In n Out burger. Don’t have them here, but I’ve been before and like their burgers more. This other growing CA chain called “The Habit” is now the hot spot, and it’s suuuper good. More money, but a real burger of good meat coooked up right, and all fresh stuff.

If I'm being honest with myself, I enjoyed them better than In-N-Out as well. It was a damn solid burger.

I've never seen Whataburger outside of Texas. Maybe they've expanded. I've never seen them here in Nebraska, but I would welcome them if they showed up.

I've eaten at many a Whataburger and one thing that has always amazed me are the onions, they're the same no matter where I've eaten, not to hot or sweet, just right.

The other thing is they know how a real burger is supposed to come...….. WITH MUSTARD!!!! No silly mayo or ketchup on the burger unless you request it, then they take you out back, beat the hell out of you because you've just exposed yourself as a yankee. And yankees are what they make the burgers out of...….80/20 ground yankee.

They sell their condiments in HEB and I am surprised they haven't started selling frozen patties from Whataburger. And they do have Whataburger Mayo for the northern part of the state where all them imported yankees are hiding out.

I am hoping for them to start their own sliders.

You can get similar thin wide frozen patties in stores. Just buy seasoning salt too and sprinkle them with that when you cook the burger and it will taste similar. What is harder to get is the wide thinner buns like Whataburger. Most are smaller and thicker.

I just reread that last sentence and am wondering if it's too early for a cocktail. Get a buzz and come back rearrange the words to make more sense or get a bigger buzz and try to make sense out of it as is.

Boys, I'm sorry to report it was sushi tonight. These damned sales reps are killing me. I will persevere, though. Evidently there are two airports.im Houston and I flew into the wrong one. That means my 6am flight on Friday will force me to leave very early in the AM. Perhaps no sleep on Thursday which means ample opportunity for late night burgers.

Well I saw you went for the steak the other night instead of Whataburger. Sometimes you have to downgrade. :D
