This is true, but do you trust Jerry and Co. to make the correct decision here? I actually would have no issue with this if the rest of their moves seemed coherent. This is a "win now" move, but they are making a bunch of "retool/rebuild" decisions elsewhere on the roster. If we're blowing it up let's just get it over with and blow it up. Otherwise, push the chips in and make a run. We are doing neither of these things.
well, it all depends. are we going to look for another TE? probably? will we draft one? depends on what's available during draft? what if we don't draft one and there is no other TE? are we ready to go into the season without a TE? so I assume that we all might be OK with him making around 8M a year, which is abour average for TEs. you don't have to like the numbers, its what the NFL market bears. so at 10M, or 11M we are over paying by 2-3M, but at least we ensure we don't create a need or a hole. plus, we are losing cooper. if cooper would have stayed, then losing schultz would be more palatable.
5 of his TDs and nearly half of his yards came in the second half of the year. He was your leading receiver in the back half and wow Dallas sure sure lit it up didn't they!
incorrect. he had 354 yards in the first 6 games, 427 in the last 11. I split that way for before and after Dak injury. if we want to include the vikings game, it would be 365 and 411. in 7 vs. 10 games. he had 3 TDs in the first 7 and 5 in the last 11. 2 coming in the last game against philly. a joke of a game.
