I believe we can get a playoff win this year. I really do. But you are making my point. Which is, Jerry wants to win so long as he plays the role in it that he, AS OWNER has determined he will play. He is not a GM on MERIT, he is a GM by PURCHASE. And if that is not the best thing for the Dallas Cowboys, then tough, because that is the way Jerry has determined it is going to be. And that makes my other point, that catching "hell" means nothing, because there are no real repercussions associated with it. You could argue fan support, but when you have purchased the #1 brand name in sports, with a winning history that stretches back into the 60's, the NFL version of the New York Yankees, what are the chances your team will become irrelevant?

Thus you have 13 non playoff winning seasons in a row with the owner as GM.

I understand that his role as GM is due to him also being the owner. He has done things I agree with and things I have disagreed with. As a fan what I hope for is Jerry learns from past mistakes and listens to those who he has hired such as the scouts and coaches and I think he has been doing that over the last few seasons.

I also understand we have not won a post season in 13 years but my real focus is what we do this year since there is nothing that can change what has already taken place.

Jerry Jones is certainly culpable for our current Playoff Drought. However, the moment Bill Parcells was hired, I believe is when you have to shift blame to the coaching staff and the players.

Especially the last few years.

The fact that he's left himself at GM after all these years of failure verifies it. Any other NFL owner would've fired a GM with his record of UNsuccess since 1995.

I laugh at fans that use that reason as a tool to prove they are a better club then ours......show me championships.....winning a lousy playoff games means nothing....

Let me ask again? What have the Eagles won in the last 2 decades? some playoff games....thats it....there is no ring on their fingers and there is no trophy to show their real success as a team.

Winning a playoff game and not winning the SB is no different then not making the playoffs........its still a big disappointment.

The last 12 years 8 teams have had success.....the rest...playoff teams and non playoff teams were disappointed.

Hard to believe. I was sitting here this morning, on vacation, looking through my 2009 Cowboys Annual, when I remembered.... 13 years since the DALLAS COWBOYS, America's Team, won a playoff game.

It is ridiculous. It is sad. I am guessing it is the longest stretch in Cowboys history.

Puts the cowboys in the same class as the Detroit Lions......just let that point sink in abit and see if that doesn't make you sicker

Its been 18 years since the Commanders won one.
The Giants waited 17 years between visits
The Steelers waited 26 years between visits
The Packers waited 29 years between visits
and its been 12 seasons since they last won one.

Yeah, that does suck. I at least remember the glory years and watched us win 3 Super Bowls.

I really feel bad for the Cowboys fans in their late teens/early 20s, you guys got to experience one Superbowl win at most and it was by far the most mediocre championship team we've ever had.

I didn't think I'd have to explain to you that you actually have to win playoff games to even get to the championship game......Dallas and Detriot haven't won a playoff game in the same 13 year span, that's a class or team you don't want to be be associated with...

I agree...win all the playoff games and the SuperBowl.....but winning a lousy playoff game and a next week exit is no better then failing to even make the playoffs. IMHO
