Manziel isnt going to steal any show...running QB's dont work in the nfl but for a split second. Give me someone who can stand in the pocket and shuffle when needed to avoid pressure and then hurl the rock like a rocket...thats bridgewater.
ok apparently you haven't been watching the NFL in a decade or so.....Steve Young, McNabb, Vick, RGIII, Randal Cunningham, Cam Newton....need I go on....?
Not sure why people think Manziel is a "run-first" QB...he's a good pocket-passer who consistently goes through his progression reads and puts the ball in the right place. He just so happens to be an outstanding runner also. IMO, he's a better QB than RGIII was coming out. In fact, Manziel's game reminds me a lot of Romo's in that he can make all kinds of stuff happens when the play breaks down except Manziel is a great runner and doesn't choke in the clutch.
Manziel is an electric player that exudes moxie. He's been the best player in college football by a long stretch for a year and a half already.....and I know Tebow was also but Tebow was a big slow runner with poor passing skills and a phenomenal surrounding cast. Manziel is a good to great thrower also who can go through his progressions before and after the snap. His arm strength could use some work but that's about the only hole I see in his game...of course he's only like a sophomore too. He's gotten a bad rap because of his outspoken mojo and normally he's the type of player I would loathe....but some people are actually saying the guy is a gym rat and works his tail off. And he's flat out the most exciting player in college football to watch in years. I think the NFL game is more ready for Manziel now that it has ever been.
