Update on Carr today is huge. 37/47 419 yrds and 5 tds and theyre only n the 3rd quarter lol. Theyre playing idaho so hes doing what he should to inferior opponents. But 419 yrds against anybody in 3 quarters is big time.

His fate will be decided in the first 4 games.

@Clemson, S.Carolina,N.Texas, LSU.
If he can put up good numbers through that stretch, he'll go in the first round. If not, prob 2nd-3rd. He is a good QB, but he HAS to show up in a big game.

Guy is awesome. Ice water in his veins. I'd love it if the boys got him.

I'll admit, Murray has really impressed me this year. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in the intangibles. He may very well end up being an early 2nd rounder ala Drew Brees if he keeps this up.

He is very athletic too. Had a 57 yard run today!

He is gonna rise fast if he keeps this up. Glad we have him at UGA :)

boy I am looking at the 2015 and make a trade up an get one of these guys - I mean you trade up to get useless CB

Blake Bortles UCF 6'3 #230
Bryce Petty Baylor 6-2 #230
Blake Bell Oklahoma 6'5 #260

2014

Zach Mettenberger LSU 6'5 #235
Aaron Murray Ala 6'1 #210 a bit short
Derek Carr Fresno State 6'3 #215

Murray plays for UGA, AJ McCarron(also a good prospect) plays for Bama ;)

Was talking with ABQJr. yesterday, he thinks that Carr is going to go way higher then 3rd round. I hope he's wrong!

I would love to have Matthews on sideline a few years before taking the field. He could be a steal. A very smart guy!

Im starting to think he's going higher too. If he keeps this up i think he could go late RD1 Early RD2

I'm thinking Round 2 at this point. He has Round-1 talent though with his size, arm strength, and accuracy so I wouldn't be shocked if he went there. All it takes is one team to fall in love with him, ala Buffalo with EJ Manuel.

we SHOULD do whatever we can to get bridgewater. dude is going to be something special. scouts already saying he's better than RG3 and on luck's level. its who ive wanted for over a year now.

disagree, think he'll be decent. Manziel will steal the show wherever he lands IMO. I like McCarron pretty well and Murray as a middle round pick.

Manziel isnt going to steal any show...running QB's dont work in the nfl but for a split second. Give me someone who can stand in the pocket and shuffle when needed to avoid pressure and then hurl the rock like a rocket...thats bridgewater.

No way. He's going to be the first QB taken and a top 5 pick. Romo is our QB for at least 3 of the next 5 years, and probably longer. Bridgewater wouldn't even play for 3 years and the price to get him would be far too high. If we're going to take a QB, we either need to take one in a middle round to develop or just wait another year to draft one.

ok apparently you haven't been watching the NFL in a decade or so.....Steve Young, McNabb, Vick, RGIII, Randal Cunningham, Cam Newton....need I go on....?
Not sure why people think Manziel is a "run-first" QB...he's a good pocket-passer who consistently goes through his progression reads and puts the ball in the right place. He just so happens to be an outstanding runner also. IMO, he's a better QB than RGIII was coming out. In fact, Manziel's game reminds me a lot of Romo's in that he can make all kinds of stuff happens when the play breaks down except Manziel is a great runner and doesn't choke in the clutch.
Manziel is an electric player that exudes moxie. He's been the best player in college football by a long stretch for a year and a half already.....and I know Tebow was also but Tebow was a big slow runner with poor passing skills and a phenomenal surrounding cast. Manziel is a good to great thrower also who can go through his progressions before and after the snap. His arm strength could use some work but that's about the only hole I see in his game...of course he's only like a sophomore too. He's gotten a bad rap because of his outspoken mojo and normally he's the type of player I would loathe....but some people are actually saying the guy is a gym rat and works his tail off. And he's flat out the most exciting player in college football to watch in years. I think the NFL game is more ready for Manziel now that it has ever been.

Yeah, Green Bay was so dumb for drafting Aaron Rodgers in the 1st round when they had Brett Favre.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you don't have a great QB, you don't have much of a team these days. In fact, if you use your first round pick on a QB repeatedly until one sticks you'll be light years better off. Fact is that tons of first round OLs, DBs, and etc flame out anyway also and your QB is far and away the most important player on the team in today's game. Having a great team with a crummy QB is like having a great slugging baseball team without much of a pitching staff. Everyone knows pitching is 90% of baseball. I know there have been a few teams that have gone far without elite QB play, Bears with Grossman and Giants with Eli (although he's had his moments here and there), but those are far more the exceptions rather than the rule.
Sadly, we could've had Aaron Rodgers.
My greatest fear is that JJ seems determined to win with Romo at all cost which I think he thinks will somehow validate his football brilliance (winning with an undrafted free agent) and he'll be able to put to rest the ghost of Jimmy Johnson. If someone like an Aaron Rodgers falls to us in the 1st again, we have to take them regardless. I think we'll equally rue if McCarron or Manziel fall to us and we pass on them.
