The fix is in!

I didn't see the game, but I do not doubt it in the least. I'm a HUGE basketball fan, but I do not watch the NBA anymore. They clearly enfluence games through the refs. I absolutely HATE the Kings, but they got absolutely robbed in the 2002 Western Conference finals. The NBA wanted Kobe and Shaq in the Championship, not Chris Webber and Vlade Divac. Clearly, they weren't sexy enough for the NBA top brass. That was only the beginning of the end for me and the NBA. They continued to do it including the 2006 NBA finals. They just weren't going to allow the madman that is Mark Cuban to win a Championship. Then he straightened up and they allowed it in 2011.

The Stars get preferential treatment on foul calls too. A foul is binary. Either a person commited one or they didn't. Who the person is, should not influence if the call is made or not.

The NBA sucks and can and should DIE!

JMO, the NBA does use refs to extend series', but I do not think they use refs to decide them. Using Sacramento as an example, how many free throws did they miss in the 4th quarter of that game 7?

If you allow refs to "extend" series then that means they are swaying/deciding.

I'm not saying it's not wrong, what I think they did to Sacramento in 2002, but you'd be incorrect to jump to the conclusion that the NBA did it ensure LA was in the finals. Sure it was what would make the most money, but in a game that was decided by 6 points, one team went 27-33 from the line, while the other went 16-30 from the line. Can't blame game 7 on the refs.

Freakin Shaq went 11-15 that game, really no excuse.

Totally agree, for me it started with Jordan, who by no fault of his own, forever ruined the nba game. The league found itself making too much money coat tailing his success and found its revenues tied to his viewership. They began to manipulate it to ensure he kept winning, mvps, finals games, etc. Jordan was the first to patent the "legal" three step travel, he won defensive player of the year because he got away with murder, and he as proof, has the most playoff free throw attempt outside of shaq. Not that I don't think mj was the greatest player ever, but I think the league used his greatness to ruin the game in the name of profit. I remember their series in the east conf finals against Indiana where it looked like Indy had their number only to find that they were uphill against eight players on the floor against them at all times. The Lakers-Sacramento series was one of the most blatant examples of front office manipulation, although this current series may come close. I'll never forget all the phantom fouls called on Sacramento where even the commentators couldn't understand. That official coming out and exposing it should've been a death blow to the nba but apparently people don't seem to care just like they still watch pro wrestling in this banana republic where people would rather be told what to think and like instead of appreciating the game and the struggle.

The NBA season ends today and I am going to miss it. No matter who wins tonight, this season has been special in many ways. The 3 ball is now being celebrated over the dunk, Steph Curry repeated as MVP and LeBron's Finals steak continues. We said goodbye to the great Black Mamba and hello to rookie of the year, Karl-Anthony Towns. What better way to end this season than with a game 7 between repeating champions from each conference. As an NBA fan I want express my appreciation for the product being put on the court today by the NBA. Thank you!.
