All over blown, Zeke is just being a kid and that's what all 22 year old men do. A large portion of the rest of our team does the same thing, Zeke is just being targeted by jealous fans and NFL owners, and always has been since college. Apparently he can't even expose a womans breast or text about beating drug tests without being criticized and called a liar. It's pretty sad.

The Cowboys are being targeted by the NFL, more specifically John Mara and Roger Goodell. We've been so successful over the past 20 years that Mara is tired of seeing us win and dominate the NFCE while Goodell hates the fact that we make the NFL the most money of any team because it makes him look bad.

Regardless of what happens, as evidenced by last night, we'll be fine the first 6 games without Zeke. My grandmother could have gained ten yards through the holes that line was creating. Zero panic here (plus I don't think he'll get the full 6 games).

I'm sorry but the Giants, eagles and skins have very very good front 7 play. They're not the colts.

The answer is yes but his actions are just one piece of the puzzle. It's a collective tainted image made up of several pieces. I have old friends who still think the Cowboys image hasn't been restored after the off the field incidents from the 90's team or the way Jerry fired Tom.

I heard Jerry is the spawn of the devil! :muttley:

Regardless of what side of the fence you are on in the Zeke saga, the NFL had no business setting a precedent of 6 games for a player when they already have given a 1-game suspension with legal proof that, on paper, was light-years worse than what Zeke is being accused of with no legal evidence...this smacks of collusion in the worst way...someone needs to have hidden cameras on next sleep-over pillow party between Mara and Goodell

Elliott is just the flavor of the day. We have so many who have been tainting the Cowboys image in recent years with their problem behavior but IMO no one represents the Taint more than Jerry Jone$.
#winwithout21
Recent years ? Ummm are you kidding me ?
Many big name players going back to the 70's have had major issues, some even hall of famers ... as a cowboy fan for over 40 years I just don't understand this sudden need for NFL fans and society as a whole to pass judgment on people as we do. I love that everyone lives the perfect life free from sins and mistakes but cmon now .. NFL players , Cowboys in particular have been making mistakes and poor choices for decades ... if the image is tainted it was tainted decades ago .. guess what the Cowboys of the 70's and 80's were not affiliated with Jerry Jones .. my point is not that we excuse them, but let's not act like "recent" years or "Jones " years are the ones tainting some holier than though image some put on the cowboys or any team for that matter . For decades they have been men-children playing a brutal sport for $$ and our entertainment .. they screw up .. they make bad choices .. but they are not gods without faults who should be put on pedestals and worshipped .. the NFL policies of today combined with social media and immense popularity just bring much bigger spotlight to everything ... research players of the 70's , 80's and 90's then tell me if it's just recent years ..

No. He's not tainting the Cowboys. If his demeanor and attitude was like PAC man jones I'd be concerned. He's nothing like him and just likes to party. Maybe a little too much, but he's young.

Zeke is innocent until proven otherwise. The personal conduct policy doesn't give the NFL the rights to do be a judge and jury like a court of law. They are overstepping their boundaries.

Besides, the policy seems to apply towards cases that has gone to court. Zeke's case didn't even go to a court of law. So how can the conduct policy apply to Zeke if it didn't even reach a court of law?

True. I didn't see the league say they believed Rothlisberger raped any women, when they handed down his suspension. Why is this case any different? Why did they tag Zeke as a woman beater? Very dangerous and unprecedented action, on behalf of the NFL, by Roger Goodell.

I read the whole thing. My opinion still stands, and I will reiterate my stance, I will avoid that site moving forward.

Still a supporter of Jesse James?

You can ignore the possible real reasons...If one is determined to be a radical. That's your call. That presented a perspective...you present personal emotions.

As to a site, that not 'Southern' enough for you? The Landry Hat...you go.

And the word of her friends, texts, co-workers oh and a bar fight. But tell us again how you know for a fact Zeke beat her? Unreal.

Three straight days in a 'club' going into a NFL season? OK...A live in, and someone knocked out at least from his possee...visiting blatantly a sales place for marijuana, and pulling a woman's shirt down in public. Yea, explain that away...and believe it's not flagrant attitude. Go back to his collegedays where flagrant couldn't be hidden...

...What do two historical figures, Vince Lombardi and Mother Teresa, have in common when it comes to evaluating the ‘identity’ of a football team? After all, Lombardi is the legendary former Packers head coach and icon of the sport. Mother Teresa, the Catholic nun and missionary who was canonized as a saint a year ago, probably never saw an American football game in her 87 years on earth. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett uses the two famous, yet disparate, icons to explain the best way to evaluate a football player individually as well as evaluate a team’s identity.

“We use the word ‘identity’ a lot,” noted Garrett. “Establish your identity and put it on tape as to who you are. I always tell players, the greatest expert – Vince Lombardi (Hall of Fame Packers head coach) – comes to practice or the game – or Mother Teresa comes – the ‘identity’ means they both come to the same conclusion. ‘I have never seen football before, but #26 looks like he’s a good player. Number 25 seems like he’s knocking ‘em back. That guy really hustles to the ball!’.“Lombardi says the same thing as Mother Teresa because that’s how you view the game. That’s what ‘identity’ is.

“There’s a million ways to evaluate a game. We’ll technically go play-by-play, technique, everyone’s job, and we do all that evaluation. But then you pull back. You ask your wife, ‘How did it look?’ ‘Sloppy, a lot of penalties’. But it was physical. We knocked the ball out five times (forced fumbles).

Now tell us with a straight face that the kid belongs with Mother Teresa or Vince Lombardi right now...

Jesse James chose to be an outlaw and fell from the bullet of his own follower.

I don't know about you, but when I was growing up...my Dad told me to select friends carefully, you can become guilty through association alone.

Good morning sir I see you're in mid season form today! How are the Giants doing?
"And a good day to you sir"!

Haha...I always try to keep up with all the NFCE teams but I'm not quite as up to date on the Giants as I once was ever since my buddy got his own place. I can tell you this, they've done nothing to address the O line...nothing! Lol and apparently their LT Flowers is still an absolute mess. I expect Taco and Co to embarrass them in just a few weeks.

Are Ezekiel Elliott’s actions tainting the Dallas Cowboys image?

https://thelandryhat.com/2017/08/19...ming-tainted-by-players-like-ezekiel-elliott/

Many Cowboy fans are up in arms and highly upset about the suspension. Is the NFL being too harsh on Elliott? My answer is no. Plain and simple. Elliott has shown time and time again that this is “Zeke’s world” and everyone else is living in it. Starting with Elliott’s days at Ohio State when he was expressing his frustration with the coaching staff about not receiving enough carries. There were also rumors Elliott had a possible drinking problem and was an avid club goer with former teammate Joey Bosa, which may have also involved illegal drugs.

In February of 2016 was when Elliott was first accused of domestic violence. A police report was made, but charges were never pursued. A few months later, in July of 2016, Elliott was again accused of domestic violence. The victim was the same from the February incident. Photos were taken, but conflicting stories forced the Columbus Police department in Ohio to not pursue charges once again. Soon after, on a preseason trip to Seattle, Elliott was spotted at a marijuana dispensary. The league has had a strict policy on drug abuse, one that has punished Elliott’s current teammates defensive ends Randy Gregory and DeMarcus Lawrence.

The 2016 football season was fairly quiet while Elliott handled his business on the field. But the offseason came too soon as Elliott was spotted in Dallas for St. Patrick Day festivities. Video was captured of Zeke pulling a woman’s top down and exposing her to the public. In the midst of an NFL investigation reports surfaced that Elliott may have been involved in an altercation at Clutch Bar in Uptown Dallas. He was accused of punching a DJ, but after a short investigation and a missing victim the case was suspended by the Dallas Police Department. Elliot was rumored to have been at Clutch Bar for the third night in a row when the incident occurred...

The LandryHat is tainting Tom Landry's image.

Are you kidding me?! The Iggles are pretty good as are the Commanders but the Giants are one of the worst O lines in the NFL and one of the worst rated LT's in the game is protecting immobile Eli's blind side. The only thing that scares the hell out of me with the Giants is their receivers and that fast TE they drafted but none of that matters when they can't run the ball and we'll be all up in Eli's face everytime that sloth tries to throw the ball. Mark it.
