How? it hasn't so far, his celebrity certainly didn't keep him from breaking the law or thinking he was above it.

Do you have any idea how stupid you look with this ******** argument?

I look stupid because you don't share my views.

fundamental flaw with western society is we all think we are right.

he goes to jail gets out plays football again.

he doesn't go to jail, spend 3.5 years speaking to kids about the idiocy of burress.

again, on what planet do you not see the value of him helping other stupid people?

Im sorry this is B.S. There are kids out there that do look up to plax and relate to him. You may not realize it. You may not like it but its the truth.

You need to read deeper to get to my point. Just becasue kids view as a role model, that doesn't mean adults with good judgement should.

He should not be given any special treatement becasue kids look up to him. If we do that, then those very kids will behave in a similar manner when they are adults with similar stature and fame.

But, if we treat him like a normal citizen, make him do his time, like anyone kids, those very kids will know they are not above the law.

That's Real Talk...

They do the same to convicted felons. It doesn't stop they from committing crimes. Same with the Sexual predators. They get out and do the same thing. Whats your point???

Maybe i'm reading this wrong but it seems that you're saying Plax should not be held accountable for his actions cause criminals break the law? :laugh2:

What's yours? That nobody should be put in jail for breaking the law, since there's a chance they'll just stay the same?

If Burress goes to jail for what he did, he won't have the general public shying away and avoiding him, he'll just be a guy who broke the law. Besides, he was given a plea bargain for 3 months so it wouldn't even be a felony charge.

What's he going to tell kids Einstein, come on enlighten us..?

Plax: You shouldn't carry guns in public

Kids: But you did and nothing happened to you..

Plax: that's not true i shot my self in the leg

Kids: what if we're not stupid and keep the safety on, everything will be ok right?

Plax: um... i guess

I think you are over the top. Mike Vick is still catching heat, and he did the time. Plax has yet to serve a day.

umm no, he should be punished in a matter constructive to society.

it only costs us money for him to rot in jail

if he can change one kid's life for the better it is far more valuable

go ahead, I am as liberal as they come, not the norm here, and I think most side with you on this.

the guy could help society out here, myopic opinions aside, the guy could make a huge difference out here. He could, period.

he will do jack all in a jail cell, on what planet does that not make sense to you?

Yeah maybe he could do some good...except he's not willing. They offered him a much smaller jail sentence with community service and he wasnt interested, at all, in the jail time, no matter how small, or the hours of community service.

He isn't willing to be something that could be used for good in the situation cause he's an arrogant punk who thinks he should be above the law and not have to pay the same penalties any regular joe would because he's rich and plays football.

I have zero sympathy for Plax. He's another moron who has brought this trouble on himself by being a complete moron.

It's a very, very, very simple fact of life here. If you don't want to get in trouble, don't want to pay big fines, don't want to go to jail then you only have to do something very simple.

Obey the law.

It's pretty easy, actually.

The fact that he's a rolemodel, or whatever, to kids from the hood isn't relevant to his own stupidity. When you break the law you pay the price. Period.

Don't like that price? Then DON'T BREAK THE LAW.

It's not a difficult concept to follow. Or at least you wouldn't think so. Apparently it's more difficult for some, than others, to realise that simple fact.

Demonized? In what sense is saying "he should be punished for his actions" calling him a demon?

Some are calling him an idiot and questioning his judgment, especially sense he's "deathly afraid of prison". If you want to make the point that it was smart for him to bring an unlicensed firearm into a club and shoot himself in the leg, then by all means make your case, but nobody is demonizing him by saying he should serve some time for what he did.

I have to say bs that he refused community service in lue of jail time, no one does that.

Sorry that the media told you so, but no one facing jail time refuses an out, doesn't happen.

jail sucks, it sucks hard, and we all know it.

I don't know too many rich people who live in the ghetto, willingly or otherwise. So I have my doubts about that piece of information anyway. Either he's not rich or he doesn't actually live in the ghetto. Either or and it really doesn't matter which.

So in your liberal mind (no offense) you can pick and choice which pieces of the article suit you. Without any proof to the contrary, you have deiced that the media is mis-informing the readers to harm this man.

The article didn't say he refused just community service, it said he refused three months of time and 1500 hours of community service, because he didn't want to serve any time at all.

life is life sister, and we deal with what we are dealt.

don't attack me, it's my views you disagree with, don't get it twisted.
