I don't think you adequately remember this team from 3 years ago.

I remember they didn't set records for being the worst defensive unit ever to take the field.

Seriously, other than Lee who are the younger, faster, better upgrades from that team?

as long is Jerry runs the show, it doesn't matter. it is what it is. why argue? Get back to me when Jerry is no longer GM, and we can talk.

that is the council of despair and i dont accept it
real coaches (jimmy and parcells) have clearly produced results under jerry so it can be done

You stay patient when you see tangible improvement over time. This team has not improved under Garrett's reign. The 'process" has produced nothing but 8-8 year after year. What is there to be patient about after 3 of the same seasons in a win now league?

you need to open your eyes, because you are missing the improvements, they are right in your face everytime you watch the game. yeah it looks like there is no improvement if you are looking at the record, but the record has not been finalized, even if we do finish 8-8 the offensive line improved greatly over these past 4/5 weeks, heck there was even improvement earlier in the season from the way they were last season. The running game has improved when we do run the ball, the receiving corp has improved even though Miles was his usual hamstung self. The defense unfortunately has been beaten down again by the injury bug, but they are not done yet, they can still continue on redeeming themselves this Sunday after coming up with two stops on the Commanders last Sunday. there has been improvement, you just have to know what you are looking at.

What are you talking about?

Garrett had a 26-3 halftime lead against the Packers and ran the ball what? 5 times in the 2nd half? The Packers ran the ball twice as much as the Cowboys did and they were behind?

Garrett had a successful running game going in that game and abandoned it. You don't think that shold be questioned? You think Garrett handled that game correctly? Everything was done the way it should have been? If you think that, I can't help you.

Garrett was responsible for that loss. The fact that this is his 4th year at the HC position and still makes these mindless errors tells me that he is not capable of managing a game properly. End of story.

Garrett did not have a 26-3 lead, he is the HC he is standing on the sideline, it is the players that had that lead and let it getaway(defense). The coach can only coach he cannot play the game for the players. Those guys has to have some kind of pride about them, and stand up and play. Football is a very simple team sport, just do your individual jobs it does not matter what scheme you play, or what personnel you have or do not have, simply play football

Put the whiskey down Jerry. Garrett is a clown. GB doesn't have a chance to score 5 times in the second half if Garrett's dumb *** doesn't throw 15 times in a row and only runs the ball 7 times. Of course we were only getting around 7.5 yds a carry.

And can you point out the good decisions Garrett has made the last 4 years? I seem to have missed them

The world needs Kool -Aid drinkers too.

Garrett is 4-19 against teams with a record over .500.

Which means he wins games when we have more talent than the other team, and loses when he doesn't. Indicates to me his coaching isn't having much affect on our wins.

Checkmate. Go up against a superior coach or personnel and have a 20% chance of victory, sounds like a losing proposition. In the words of an old philosopher, "you play to win the game".

Why do you say blah blah blah when referring to our 8-8 record? If we lose on Sunday which I think we will it'll be the third consecutive 8-8 season under Garrett. Fourth consecutive season without the playoffs. You're judged by wins and losses so we're mediocre. It is what it is!

Wow! Tina Louise aint what she used to be.

And so have 30 other teams. injuries do not cause him to go brain dead in the middle of games not does it?

And injuries dont make the head coach fail to do the most basic thing....pull out your 100 million dollar QB so he avoids getting sacked with 5 mins to go in an absolute blowout. That Saints game still irks me. Seeing Romo get sacked TWICE in the closing minutes of a blowout. Only to have the head coach say the next day..."in hindsight Romo should not have been in there getting sacked when the game was out of reach".
You need HINDSIGHT to gain clarity about this type of situation? Chris Collingsworth was asking over and over for someone to explain why Romo was still in the game. Now, Collingsworth sees this but the head coach doesnt see it? Its like Garrett cannot make any right decision about something until he fails at it at least once. His in-game decision making is putrid.

Maybe he was hoping Romo would get hurt so Red would have an excuse from having yet again a mediocre season. Didn't happen that game but he got lucky last game.

LOL
It sure does appear that this injury (and the others) have saved Asst Coach Garrett from getting fired by Coach Jones.

Ok. My day is semi ruined. So we miss out on the playoffs AND Garrett remains?

Who's the scapegoat this year? Callahan and Kiffin?

What does Garrett have? Can't coach offense, can't coach defense, cant manage the game, questionable drafting, very poor decision maker (let's switch to a super crappy 4-3 withiuth any of the right pieces!) AND can't motivate the team AND will likely miss the playoffs 3 years in a row in very favorable circumstances AND throws his players and coaches under the bus

I see NO reason why he SHOULD stay. None.

POST OF THE DAY!!!!!

Through last season, anyway, we were literally the most effective team in the league when it came to using challenges effectively.

What specific stats are you referring to here?

What is with this buffoons obsession with Jason Garrett? Guess it will always be somebody else's fault when we replace our defensive coordinator yet again AND likely replace Callahan.

Question is who would bother taking the jobs knowing Garrett is likely on his last leg.

Worst job in the NFL..........be an assistant coach to Garrett..........when the sacred cow starts throwing people under the bus, you are first in line............LOL

That is great news!!!! I knew Jerry would not listen to all the idiotic get rid of Garrett talk. THis is the best thing, you cannot keep changing directions, you have to stay the course sometime and be patient

We must not change the course!!!!

The Opie 500 tour is so exciting, such a great show.........................really is must see TV..................LOL
