This whole thing is a mess. It used to be #3 with the complaint, now it's going to be #5. All the teams held serve, so I don't see how/why they change it from last week. If they did want to get OSU in there, they sort of ranked themselves into a corner by putting TCU at 3 last week instead of 4. I think the only fair way to do all of this is to have each conference have a championship, and have the champs get the seeds. Eight seeds play over three weeks - Big 12, Big 10, ACC, SEC, Big East, Pac12, and pick two from CUSA/Independent/MidAm/SunBelt/Mt.West/American Athletic
It's going to stay a mess until it gets expanded further.
There was 1 team in a P5 conf without a loss, FSU.
In years past that gets them a title game versus Alabama in all likelihood.
That system was heinously wack.
This year there will be two very bitter teams, but it is an improvement.
Hopefully we get to 8 teams soon.
That should cover the 1 loss major conf teams and any outstanding outliers that may exist.
Teams can't play everyone but the champ should be determined on the field, playoffs style.
The criterion is the biggest issue.
Who the heck knows what it is.
I believe the criterion used all season should hold and the rankings of the top 6 should be unchanged.
But IF they were gonna change they'd merely flip 4 and 5 as they have definitely dropped teams for close wins and awarded big wins in past weeks.
There's no way I'd drop TCU off the top 4 after a 50+ point win and with a win over a B1G team by a more substantial amount than OSU.
