I'm not a fan of Cam Newton, but I don't see any issue with that video and I don't see what you see with Edelman.

Dak is by far the better player to have as the starting QB for the Cowboys but Cam dancing in practice is meaningless.

Is that what you want the leader of your football team doing? Goofing around and dancing like a clown? Portrays a guy that isn't taking things seriously and is setting a bad example for those around him. Can you imagine the entire football team dancing around like that?

Blows my mind how you see nothing wrong with that.

Dak wins the dance moves. All Dak has to do is win NFL MVP and take his team to the Super Bowl and he will be equal to Cam Newton in accomplishments. Dak already has NFL Rookie of the Year like Cam, Lead his college team to a no.1 ranking like Cam (Cam won a championship), both have short 3 letter nicknames (Cam and Dak), both Dak and Cam are big body QBs, and Dak was off everyone's radar then exploded on the scene in college like Cam.

Therefore, with these similarities between Cam and Dak, why would anyone want an older injury prone version of Dak Prescott?

Ya he was but he didn't start doing it until he was accepted as one of the leaders on the team and not being the new kid on the block.
.
.

So after two weeks he feels like he has already won the job and has been accepted enough to let his true cocky, goofy, idiot, carefree side run free?

I think the guy is a total clown. Listening to him talk is difficult. Then the grandmother outfits at press conferences? I could never play for that guy. Could never take him seriously.

Cam had his shot and blew it is basically what happened. That Panthers team had one of the best defenses in modern memory. Give THIS Cowboys team the #1 defense in the NFL and lets see what they can do.

I don't see NE being any better than 7-9 without Brady. Regardless of how well they cheat. Cam is not as he was, that can win games on his athleticism. He will need to rely on his arm, and that is not what it used to be either.

That offense was terrible last year. They won because of the defense. It was incredible. If they have a defense again like that this year, Cam running around and picking up key first downs might be enough to get to 10-12 wins. With Belliceck as the coach I would never doubt him.

As I've said before ONE good season out of NINE isn't what is normally considered acceptable for a 1st pick in the draft. The 1st pick in the draft is expected to have more than TWO seasons with higher than a 50 something completion percentage and fewer than 15, 16, 17 picks. You want to say that one good season completely over shadows the other eight seasons and I'm saying that those other eight seasons tend to tarnish that one good season. So what you're saying is 12% of a career counts more than 88% of a career and I'm saying 88% counts more than the 12%.
.
.
I didn’t say that at all. You’re trying to characterize to fit your argument.

Here’s my post again ...

“IDK.. I think it’s arguable he has fulfilled expectations to a point. Up until recently probably considered a top 10 type QB. Certainly reaching the Super Bowl and earning a MVP would be meeting expectations.”

Did you see any other idiot bouncing around like that on the video?

Pats are going to have to be 8-1 with that moron for him to stick around. Anything close to 500 and I don't see him lasting the year.
Newton is the new kid on the block and he plays the position that is universally considered as the leader of the team and then this new kid is clowning it up and his new team mates are supposed to then look to him as their new leader? Instead of Newton showing his football skills and his ability to take control of things hen clowns around. He hsan't done the right thing because those skills were only for one season 5 years ago so I guess all he has left is clowning around.
.
.

I would love to "pile on" with regards to criticism of Cam Newton but that video is meaningless. If Belichick had an issue with it, then it wouldn't happen.

There is no context with regards to the video. Was it a few minutes when they were somewhat between serious practice snaps or does he do it all the time?
- I'm certain that he does not do it all the time because BB is the HC.

Players occasionally "goof around" to lighten things up. In some circumstances it's a good thing on occasion.

I think Cam Newton is a mental midget that has significantly underachieved his physical talent but a video clip of him dancing around is meaningless.

Again...……….did you see anyone else doing it? HAVE you EVER seen anyone else do that?

And how do you know that Belli or anyone else didn't have a problem with it?

Is that another assumption on your part? I saw a team going through team drills and getting back in line for their turn.

Ok, no problem.... but if Alex Smith was so good.... how did Kaepernick take his job and led the SAME TEAM that Alex played on to the superbowl but yet Alex couldn't????

If all Cam had was one good year.... where was Alex Smith's "one good year"????
2017. Problem is, his one good year was nestled in w/ the 28th ranked D. Cam's was 6th.

Alex is pure bus driver. That's why SF moved on. Cam is a better playmaker, but can't hold onto the ball and fades in crunch time.

Alex Smith isn't that great. Neither is Cam.

Meaningless unless you're a cantankerous human hemorrhoid with nothing but crappy things to say about ANYTHING and need to look down on others to feel better about yourself. I mean, hypothetically, of course, lol.

Yes, I've been to Cowboys training camp practices many times over the years and occasionally players "goof around" to get themselves and others hyped up.

Even when Jimmy was the HC, Kenny Gant did those types of things at least once per practice.
- If Jimmy had a problem with it, then it would not have happened more than once.

If Belichick had a problem with it, the music would shut off in a hurry...

Yea, I despise Cam the personality. But like I mentioned earlier I usually try to separate my personal feelings from professional evaluations.

There’s been several Cowboys over the years I despised their off field behavior personally too like Irvin and Elliott but didn’t let it effect how I viewed their performance on the field.
You n me are two of the few who just don't care what a player does off the field. Unless it's rape or pedo stuff or animal abuse or something heinous, I just don't care how many strip clubs they go to.

Meredith and Garrison were always doing crazy stuff. McNabb was caught on tape doing crazy dances. PManning was a joker. Couple or so years ago Fitzpatrick went to the post game interview dressed all flashy like one of his teammates who often wore outrageous stuff.

I'll argue all day that Cam has been an average QB for his career, but his dancing is irrelevant.

Cam's dancing shows his mindset, just like McNabb's...a bunch of clowns. No wonder T.O. never took McNabb seriously.

I care and will bash them for their off field behavior but it doesn’t carry over into my evaluation of performance on the field.

If you recall I bashed Dez and Zeke for their thuggish behavior but again didn’t effect my analysis of their talent or performance on the field.

I'm being positive and defending the kind of QB we have compared to the clown the Patriots now have, but somehow that's negative?

Yup. This was a thread idea that should've been scrapped in its inception stages.
Yep .
Basically trolling on Cam and anyone who wanted him here to contend with Dak from one of our leading Slobbering Daksters.

I’ve enjoyed playing devils advocate cause I’m bored. I love defending the underdog. Ha
