OK, but the point you're missing is that under the franchise tag, we get one more year to see exactly what Dak is worth. Since he's shown both good and bad at this point, another year is definitely warranted. Hopefully w/ a competent coaching staff who is more likely to maximize his skillset.I agree. Franchising isn't smart. You immediately drop a $32 million cap hit vs starting with a cap hit around $10 million and escalating as the cap goes up. How don't see how you can say paying Dak $32 million will wreck the team and then advocate for paying Dak $32 million under the franchise tag.
