overall you're right, jack. but i've said that before and maybe you missed it.

i don't blow off the irony of what i'm saying. if anything, maybe it helps me better understand it. what i *hope* i've not said are things that would be in direct contradiction and i would also hope i directly answered direct questions.

i know my "hatred" for parcells clouded things. this is why i did listen to others in what he was doing and tried to "reset" where it was coming from. but in the end i did say that with what he was doing we'd never win a playoff game.

even got called out for that statement cause it was pretty ballsy. when romo got hot, i fully admitted i could be wrong.

when romo started and did well, didn't i also tell you i coudl be wrong in what parcells was doing with romo? i did say there were things i think could have been different if romo got some game time, but at the time i was more henson focused, so i would have been wrong there too.

i never denied my hatred for parcells could effect what else i see. i got my share of how i felt about him validated, and i got proven wrong on others. much like it works for all of us.

while i understand why you could see "hypocracy" in here, obviously i don't feel it's the same thing cause i admit it and when wrong, admit that also.

would you still call that "the same thing"?

but i've spoken for myself on all counts. have you ever known me to be *shy* about speaking out?

Right off the top of my head:

1) Hiring Garrett before Wade was announced as HC.

Which is rapidly becoming standard practice in the NFL these days, an argument made recently by Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher...

Obviously, if Jerry's just going along with the trend du jour, he's not doing anything "wrong"... and what he's doing does NOT turn his head coach into a "puppet"... at least, if it does, then Bill Parcells was just Jerry's "puppet" too, because he took on a LOT of holdover assistant coaches when he came on board...

2) Wade getting a lowball offer.

As GM, it is well within Jerry's job description to negotiate the terms of the head coach's contract... as a businessman, it is in Jerry's basic nature to try to get himself a bargain...

Nothing "wrong" in that, either... certainly, there's nothing in that to suggest Wade Phillips is just Jerry's "puppet"...

You don't know that Jerry was behind that, and you certainly don't know that Wade wasn't entirely on board with that move... you just ASSUME this is Jerry throwing his weight around...

4) Sparano expressing some discomfort in being "demoted". Parcells would have never allowed that to become public.

Which proves that Wade Phillips is a bit different personality than Bill Parcells is... what it does NOT prove is that Wade is Jerry's "puppet"...

Indeed, it's illogical (bordering on asinine) to assume that Jerry would WANT Sparano's discomfort made public...

None of those is PROOF.

Individually, you can say each one is a little bit of evidence.

No, you can't... none of your bits of "evidence" come close-- either individually or collectively-- to "proving" your theory...
