Ah ah ah. Depending on Jerry's testimony is treading on thin ice. Jerry has indeed said that. He has also said that he (Jerry) will be much more involved in the football operstion than he was when Parcells was here. He can't do that without cutting into some of the areas that Bill controlled, thereby making Wades clout less than Bills. Ya gotta watch what Jerry says, he is a slippery one.

It is still direct evidence. People lie during their testimony all the time. It is still direct evidence.

Hiring Garrett before Wade was hired as evidence of meddling is "circumstantial" evidence and simply carries no weight. It doesn't mean anything except that Jerry followed through on a plan that was in place even before Parcells resigned. That's good management IMO, not meddling.

Right off the top of my head:

1) Hiring Garrett before Wade was announced as HC.

circumstantial evidence - This fact alone proves nothing. Jerry saw a chance to get a top assistant coach and had a small window. Garrett hasn't even officially been given a role yet.

2) Wade getting a lowball offer.

This statement does not qualify as evidence. Unless you consider the daily turd to be a reliable source, it is an opinion.

3) Jerry hiring Dat.

The would be a fact in the context that (as an owner) he hires everybody. If you are stating the hiring of Dat was completely Jerry's decision, this statement is an opinion and not evidence.

4) Sparano expressing some discomfort in being "demoted". Parcells would have never allowed that to become public.

This statement is also an opinion. You may have wanted to provide some kind of proof to back up this statement, since I only heard that Sparano was uncomfortable due to the fact that he didn't know what his role would be. The second statement was simply an opinion.

5) Well, I KNOW I had another one there a minute ago, I'll get back to you.

If it was another opinion, don't bother.

None of those is PROOF.

Individually, you can say each one is a little bit of evidence.

Only the first statement can be considered evidence. Unfortunately, that evidence (by itself) is circumstantial and most people can draw strong conclusions from it that differ from yours.

As a group, you can say it is a good bit of evidence that Wade has less authority than Parcells. Nothing overwhelming, but combine that with jerry's past, and with jerry's own words about the subject and it is plain to me that Wade will be operating on a leash, not a puppet, but restricted in what he can do without Jerry's okay, much more than Bill.

Really, please explain. I read on article on the forum fairly recently that Jerry would work the same way with Phillips that he did with Parcells.

If anything, more evidence has been posted on the forum that contradicts your statement.
