Tevin Coleman was there for what 3 rounds? Yeah nobody fell...

Had to grab the CB w the first pick and Gregory in the 2nd was a steal. He was gone by the time we picked in Rd 3.
So we were sol

The scope of this thread EXCLUDES who they are as people. .
I think it's impossible to leave that out of this conversation because if Rice didn't do what he did, then the Cowboys, along with a ton of other teams, would have him on their team.

What's the worst that could happen?

Having to cheer for Ray Rice would be the worst thing that could happen.
This guy isn't talented enough to sell out your integrity on.
Even when Rice was younger and in his prime he was never really an amazing back. He was consistently good but I hope we don't feel the desperation needed to bring in the sucker puncher.

Thi sis exactly why Mcfadden is here. He will be the passing down RB. I honestly think Randle is > than CJ2K at this point so I wouldn't waste my time on any free agent RBs unless or until one of our 3 guys is injured. Dubar has a spot on the roster due to special teams. And there is no way we carry more than that on our roster so why bring in a free agent. Who do you cut?? CJ wont play special teams, Steven Jackson wont and Ray Rice wont. I do not see a scenario where any of these guys are signed unless theres an injury

I get the whole special teams part....But I don't want anyone making the team as a RB because they are decent on special teams. What has Dunbar ever done so great on special teams anyway?

I would love for them to bring in CJ and then McFadden and Dunbar need to beat him out.
McFadden can play special teams.

I am not content yet with Randle as the starter. He hasn't showed enough in his career yet to deserve the job handed to him. Bring in CJ and let him battle for the starting job.

I believe the running game is important because it forces the defense to play you balanced. If I am a defensive coordinator calling a game against the Cowboys I would rather not have Chris Johnsons big play ability to worry about.

At this point I believe Chris Johnson has accomplished enough and looked good enough last year to deserve a chance over McFadden or Dunbar.

Chris Johnson averaged 3.4 yards per carry or less 9 out of the 16 games he played last year and had one touchdown.

No thanks.

We should start seeing "we drafted a OT that is now injured and many said was a reach" posts shortly

I don't think rice has much left myself
If he was still an impact player someone would sign him
Didnt take long for a guy like Gillette to get signed at all
Bottom like is teams will over look your off field stuff if you can help them win games
Right or wrong that is the reality

Sounds like he would fit right in. All he needs to do now is pull some hamstrings doing light conditioning drills a few times.
Get it done Jerry!!!

I guess we have a different take on what being a monster means. (I am assuming you don't mean being a monster towards his girlfriends with his right cross?)

He was always good. I see a guy who was a good grinder. Career average 4.3 YPC, not a burner. More like a bigger version of Maurice Jones Drew. When I think of special I am thinking of Peterson or Lynch types.

He has averaged 67 Yards rushing per game through his career.
That isn't someone I feel is so awesome that I want to explain to my 3 sons why we are cheering for him.

I think the difference is the video. It went viral. Something about seeing him so it makes it worse in the eyes of the public, I think.

Rice is still young and was once a top 3 RB in the league. He had a bad half a season and I think that's been overblown.

No panic from this poster.

Hey..

I'm ready for the Hell Hounds to appear when ESPN announces DMac is gone half way into the season with his Miles Austin maladies..

and Randle turns out to be merely a speed guy who will be beat up by the 3rd game..

and then we REALLY will be back to earth.

An average team with a really tough schedule ahead and no answers.

Fingers crossed somebody passes the smelling salts up on the front office..

or Jerrah opens the bars at the Stadium so we can all have a free shot of tequila before taking our seats.

A couple of shots and a couple of RB's and we will be good to go.
