Listen I love Dak as much as the next guy.

Let's not be naive and biased just because he's a cowboy. Stop it. Had it been the skins or eagles that got him, and he performed the way he has, we would be calling it a fluke, and "oh now everyone has tape on him"

Stop the one sided arguments.

We still need a WR opposite Dez. Period

No you would be calling it a fluke. If the skins or eagle were set up on offense with the rb ol hof te and wrs Dallas has then I'd have concern for this team. But they're not. Dak is able to do what he does because there is a guy behind him and 5 guys in front of him that make life a whole lot easier for him. So maybe you might want to start coming to terms that this team is on the way up. Dak doesn't force the ball to dez or witten the way room did. He will just go to the open guy. You know the way the offense went when dez was out. And that one sided argument ur having with yourself because fans like u aren't making a fan like me feel worried about this offense.

The Giants offense is stacked at the skill positions much like us. OBJ, Sheppard, and Marshall is a nice trio even if I think Marshall is basically done. He gives them some size, something they lacked, and can be a red zone target. They got a glorified WR in Engram as a TE. He should pose matchup problems. It will come down to whether or not they can get improved OL play and some semblance of a running game. If they can, they will be able to put up points in bunches. They also have the best defense in the division.

Washington has some moving parts at WR. We'll see how quickly Cousins can adapt to his new receiving core. But they just had an excellent draft.

Philly; it will depend on Wentz development (or Lord Carsus for Risen Star). Added some much needed weapons on the outside for him in Smith and Jeffrey.

We had an excellent draft as well. Its going to be a dogfight for the division this year. Honestly, I have no idea what to predict. I can see us missing the playoffs or winning the division as well... don't really have a feel this early. Hopefully Jaylon Smith can be an impact player this year, Tapper and Charlton show something, and the rookie DBs are ready to go....
Almost 350mil in 2 yrs they spent on defense and they're defense is I think barely better then what's in Dallas. For what they spent last yr Dallas still had more sacks. Where they were better is secondary but Dallas closed that gap considerably this draft

24.5 of their sacks came from the DL
28 came from our DL.

I guess that is interesting, was just kind of curious.

They had the better run defense. And secondary.

By nfl.com's measure.

They surrendered 3.6 ypc, we surrendered 3.9.
Eh, ypg Dallas was #1.

Here's some stats for that stacked offense that can score points in bunches.
26th in points.
25th in yards.
29th in rushing yards.
32nd in rushing TDs.

Brandon Marshall must be one heck of a player. Sucks his yards dropped 50% from 15, TDs went from 14 to 3 and he was second in the league in drops.

NYG have one of the best defenses in the NFL. They're on a whole other level.

But we don't need to be as good as them.

I don't get why people get all over a guy because he says something about your team. What he said was by NO means outlandish. It could very well be true. Last year pretty much everything fell into place, ( other than Romo ) we didn't have the usual Key player get hurt and miss alot of time. Come on, Sean Lee played the whole year!! Alot of things went are way.

Sure give all the credit in the world to every player responsible for our record last year. Kudos to all of them. This year be careful, thats all Im saying. We are playing much better QB this year and I don't care how many defensive players we drafted this defense is not very good. Let's hope these guys are the future to changing all that , but it takes a little time.

Alot of teams now will be gunning for the Cowboys, they are not sneaking up on anyone. Also, I just don't love Garrett and his ability to adjust to situations. I doubt Dak has the year he had last year and that would be OK. No one can knock the guy if he dosent. He will have a very good future in this league. Of course im sounding like Capt obvious here, im not throwing out ground breaking reasons here but I just think it's all a reality. This team is not winning 13 games ( and that's OK ). We had alot go right last year, let's see how it all plays out this year. Im excited for the season. I wish it was this Sunday. I just think my expectations are a bit lower than most. Im wrong on many things, so I sure hope this is one of them.
Fair post, and since you're new here Ima give you a like.

What's rg3 doing nowadays? Is he in the league still? I'm glad he's not a cowboy, that would have been horrendous

I would say that Cowherd is a borderline idiot.

But that's insulting to idiots.

I couldn't stand him back in the day he was here in Oregon, on Porltand channel 8 doing sports. Then on his boring Portland sports radio show. Why ESPN wanted this guy is still a mystery.

Why is this turd comparing RG3 to Dak?

Yes, the schedule appears to be tough as of this moment... easy to say at this point.
Dallas will win the East. They will be in the conversation for NFC Championship participants,
and we'll see what happens.

Yeah is argument is that RG3 and Dak will have a sophomore slump. Thats what he's betting on.

However, Dak and RG3 are both different players. Dak is a read the defense and pass first before you run type of QB.

While RG3 was a gimmick QB who relied on run option. Once teams took away the run option and that its legal to hit the QB if they run it, he's effectiveness diminished.

On the other hand, Dak's ability to read defenses and pass first mobile style of play is something to build upon. Him knowing the system better after a year will only enhance his effectiveness. Coupled that with a healthy Dez - Dak's stock will be even better in his 2nd year than his first.

Kiss my *** Cowherd.

Anybody that compares Dak's rookie season and how he actually *played* to RG3's season and then tries to draw a comparison for Dak's future doesn't know anything about football. Literally zero.

RG3 had terrible mechanics, couldn't see over the linemen to throw the ball and came from a gimmicky college/high school based offense. He was noticeably shorter and skinnier, particularly in the lower body than Dak.

Dak's throwing motion mechanics are excellent with some footwork that was inconsistent. His ability to locate the ball on passes was downright phenomenal. He came from a pro style system that is very similar to what Dallas runs and the offense Dallas runs has been in the NFL is some fashion since the 1960's.

It would be like comparing Ken Stabler to Mike Vick because they are both left handers.

YR

I can only roll my eyes when someone trots out the "gimmick" excuse. It's embarrassing.
