Dak struggled last week with very little help but tonight he outplayed Herbert!

You can't have it both ways.

If you're happy with Dak's ball security, you can't be upset that he took some sacks when the OL didn't do their part.

If nobody's open and there's pressure, and he throws it up for grabs and it gets picked off, then you're complaining about the "boneheaded INT".

Taking a sack is a much better play than turning the ball over.

Dak was under siege all night and had zero run game. Despite that, he didn't even come close to a turnover.

Herbert, on the other hand, threw an INT and had 2 other INTs dropped (both by DaRon Bland). And notice how Herbert didn't take as many sacks as Dak? Not a total coincidence.
You can’t have it both ways. You can’t ignore all the positives I’ve said about Dak in my post, and in this thread, and only focus on the negatives I said about Dak. You’re doing a what some claim Dak “haters” do and that’s only focus on the negatives and not the positives.

I’m not a Dak fan but I try to give my opinions without an agenda. Tonight Dak outplayed Herbert and made things happen on offense despite little help from the offensive line and running game. I would say he played good and this is his best game of the season. However that doesn’t mean he played perfect and there’s not ares of concern. He does hold the ball too long and he has taken sacks, in this game and others. But I do agree I would rather take a sack then throw a pick. Hopefully the offensive line tightens up and Dak can learn when to throw it away. But tonight we won and I’m pretty happy with how Dak and the rest of the team played. Especially after the week they had.

Herbert had MUCH better pass protection than Dak, but played a MUCH worse game!

That is a FACT!

Dak was forced to scramble around ALL game long. He was sacked 4 times( one was maybe his fault, but no one was open on that one!). BUT, Dak was still able to move the team down the field when he needed to. He was able avoid the rush on enough plays, and make really good throws, to help lead us to victory. The running game didn’t help Dak either. The FG drive was excellent!

On the other hand Herbert missed wide open receivers, with no pressure, throughout the game.

Herbert was not clutch, Dak was.

Last week, I was ready to give up on Dak, but tonight he looked very good considering he was forced to carry the offense.

I will say the D played EXCELLENT. They were put in a lot of tough situations and only gave up 17 points. Micah came thru with the big sack AND Gilmore, played like the smart veteran he is, and jumped the route on the int!!!!!!!
Go review the throws and the difficulty of throws made...Dak was making high school QB throws against a lesser defense while Golden Boy made the much more difficult throws against a better defense.

You probably won’t find a top five QB ranking that doesn’t include him, but it’s based on the numbers he puts up. He puts up a lot of yards and TDs, but it comes down to winning games and he’s coming up short in that area. If the numbers aren’t equating to wins, who cares.
His defense is the worst in the league, so winning becomes an issue for him even though they are putting up points.

Except one gave up one sack and the other got sacked 5 times lol.
80% of the sacks Dak takes are because he has no pocket awareness and runs directly into the pressure or because he's waiting for guys to get open instead of throwing them open.

Twice tonight we watched this dolt take sacks outside the pocket instead of just throwing the ball away. It's a situation that comes up every game, and it's year 8. He's dumb.

I know most fans would take Justin Herbert over Dak in a heartbeat but this is his fourth season, and he’s not winning a lot of games. After the loss today his career record is 27-27. He puts up numbers but he’s basically Matt Stafford 2.0.
Matt Stafford won big, right now Herbert is more trending Kirk Cousins

Agreed. He deserved the criticism last week he should get the praise this week. Gallup dropped a touchdown as well. Speaking of Gallup it’s time he goes this off season. He’s a JAG

This guy is the clearest case of making up stuff as he chooses fit. I'd say most of America saw a different game than the one you saw. I'd take 5 Dak plays over any of Herbert's plays tonight.

There is a small number of qb's I'd happily swap Dak for, Herbert is not one of them.

One of Daks best plays were when he used his feet. It's a dimension of his game we haven't seen used much since his injury. Was good to see him run effectively.
Last night really underlined that Dak should get back to using his legs more often, sadly it probably only happened due to having a porous o-line and not by design.

Both offensive lines were terrible. Both run games were terrible. Honestly if anything Herbert was more pressured then Dak all game by a good amount. Dak outplayed Herbert thats all that matters. Herbert was off by miles he could of had two uncontested tds on those double moves. Nice to see Dak use his legs.

Defense played much better.

The penalties....so many dumb undisciplined penalties. Thought they were going to "fix" this

Offense played better however this team is still focused around the defense.

Offense is never going to settle in and look good without the run game. Wouldn't matter who we have back there the scheme is from HS play books. Can see a run coming a mile away. Pollard must have got hit in the backfield majority of the night

Also can Dak throw the ball away for the love of God. He knows he can do this right...

I much prefer Dak scrambling rather than having time to think!

Plays break down. Especially crap plays Mike is calling. I don't want Dak running a lot but he's got to when it's there. Without those runs, they lose.

I think 2 of Dak's sacks he took as not to risk a bad or forced throw. Past games he may have tried to throw it and threw a pick. Props to Dak on those.

2 of them he held the ball too long and could have thrown them away. I believe one of the sacks he was scrambling and was forced out of bounds. But had time to throw it away.
