Dak struggled last week with very little help but tonight he outplayed Herbert!

You probably won’t find a top five QB ranking that doesn’t include him, but it’s based on the numbers he puts up. He puts up a lot of yards and TDs, but it comes down to winning games and he’s coming up short in that area. If the numbers aren’t equating to wins, who cares.
And that's the issue right there, people are quick to put him in the top 5 Qb and in the same breath call Dak trash lmao.

Dak didn't look good. Got sacked when it wasn't needed. Overthrew WR's all night. Was terrible at executing the tush push. Consistently threw short of the first down marker. It was painful to watch him run the offense.
lol you guys are something else when you get on a narrative. Dak looked fine he was harassed all night. He did miss 2 TDs grant you that but he also had 1 dropped. terrible at executing tush push? the push part was missing the Oline got their arse handed to them

Dak played a great game but it still concerns me that all of the big plays came after things broke down and he extended the play.

This offense still has things to figure out because receivers are being missed, Gallup is not adding much to it and the oline is struggling.

Herbert had MUCH better pass protection than Dak, but played a MUCH worse game!

That is a FACT!

Dak was forced to scramble around ALL game long. He was sacked 4 times( one was maybe his fault, but no one was open on that one!). BUT, Dak was still able to move the team down the field when he needed to. He was able avoid the rush on enough plays, and make really good throws, to help lead us to victory. The running game didn’t help Dak either. The FG drive was excellent!

On the other hand Herbert missed wide open receivers, with no pressure, throughout the game.

Herbert was not clutch, Dak was.

Last week, I was ready to give up on Dak, but tonight he looked very good considering he was forced to carry the offense.

I will say the D played EXCELLENT. They were put in a lot of tough situations and only gave up 17 points. Micah came thru with the big sack AND Gilmore, played like the smart veteran he is, and jumped the route on the int!!!!!!!
right and he had very little help last 2 games inconsistent OL and lack of a run game again 2 games same stroy but he stepped up and made it happend!!,

exactly they need to stop treating the running backs as if we have a demarco Murray or a young ezekiel Elliott as lead backs and trying hard to be a run first run heavy identity team the reality is we are not in that as the offense line it's been playing pretty bad all year, you trying to play conservative football ...run .run pass is putting us in 3rd and long and then cant block for 2 seconds!! , really it hasn't been good all year trying to be conservative take the reins off this offense and start throwing the damn football against teams that you can..IMHO CEEdee could add a 200 yard game easily...

the crazy thing is prescott was sacked 5 times could have easily been 10 had he not moved well, was the most mobile game he's been in years... another quick hitter prescott was the leading passer and rusher for both teams!! prescott haters can suck on that he literally won that game... if you add in all the penalties in the time of possession lost the STs gaff.., prescott had the game winning drive and he played well all game...

AGREED, seems to me its MM and the OL coach,

They need to stop treating the running backs as if we have a Demarco Murray or a young ezekiel Elliott as lead backs and trying hard to be a run first run heavy identity team, POLLARD IS NOT AS GREAT lead back for power running, run first type offense,
the reality is we are not in that as the offense line it's been playing pretty bad all year, you trying to play conservative football ...run .run pass is putting us in 3rd and long and then cant block for 2 seconds!! , really it hasn't been good all year trying to be conservative take the reins off this offense and start throwing the damn football against teams that you can..IMHO CEEdee could add a 200 yard game easily... im not kidding if they targeted him 16 times easily he was open most of the nioght but they stopped feeding him!!

the crazy thing is Prescott was sacked 5 times could have easily been 10 had he not moved well, was the most mobile game he's been in years... another quick hitter prescott was the leading passer and rusher for both teams!! Prescott haters can suck on that he literally won that game... if you add in all the penalties in the time of possession lost the STs gaff.., Prescott had the game winning drive and he played well all game...

WRONG!! Terrible OL no run game under pressure al night he was key to the win. literally the leading passer and rusher for both teams!! NO TOS! this has been a problem all year and people are ignoring it!! bad assessment terrible dude!

80% of the sacks Dak takes are because he has no pocket awareness and runs directly into the pressure or because he's waiting for guys to get open instead of throwing them open.

Twice tonight we watched this dolt take sacks outside the pocket instead of just throwing the ball away. It's a situation that comes up every game, and it's year 8. He's dumb.
Yeah that’s crap. So you think if he just had better pocket awareness he would clean up that Khalil Mack sack huh lol?

Herbert is one of the most overhyped QBs in this league. Ever since he came out of college, the media and fans were trying to make him be part of the next phase of QBs who are the face of the league. Year 4, he has actually regressed. He is erratic on a lot of passes and isn't consistent. But he gets a ton of excuses made for him. Defense is blamed. Coaches are blamed. Somehow, it is never his fault. This doesn't even begin to touch on blowing a 27pt lead in the playoffs. He's also now 0-2 against Dak lol.

there's some really bad fans in here no football IQ do not KNOW what actual football looks like.. that this dak had great awareness all night best all season easily could have been 10 sacks tonight,he got five he avoided the other five.

OL is past struggling. They just aren't good. We are back to the days of the 2000-2009 days when our OL was dreadful.

The Cowboys had a pressure rate of over 47% against Herbert last night. I don't know what the Chargers rate was against Dallas but I don't think it was that high. Herbert was clearly affected by the Cowboys pressure most of the night. Yes, there were a few plays where he had no pressure, but you could see the Cowboys got close to him a lot.

Dak was really good last night. He made plays with his feet and created opportunities for big plays escaping the pocket.

My concern is, the pass coverage was not very good again most of the night. If not for the pass rush, and Herbert misfiring a bunch of times, who knows how many points the Chargers may have scored. Herbert missed Allen who was wide open down the sideline when he juked Bland out of his cleats. That could have been a TD is the ball didn't sail over Allen's head. There was a couple of plays like that.

It has been hard to define what Herbert lacks but tonight it showed.

He missed his best WR who was wide open twice on double moves.
And he missed wide open options many times.
He is a big, strong QB who can throw some beautiful passes, but he is not able to do so consistently because he lacks field vision.
And it is reflected in the Chargers record.
It is the opposite skillset to Brock Purdy.
Purdy is small and slow with an average arm but he sees the field wonderfully.

In the defenses defense though this is what the Chargers do. They might you up for yards and no points to show for it. It’s just weird to watch them. There’s no consistency.

Herbert was under siege all night . It’s not about sacks all the time he was pressured like 18 times and he was rattled with many of his throws as pocket was collapsing.

That’s what I’ve noticed from Herbert. Consistency. I think Moore is doing what he can and even last night he was probably a little more off than normal but this is why they score points and yards but still lose. Lack of consistency.

And that’s scary because Tyron, Biadiz and Martin are on that line. Never mind that Tyler Smith apparently grades out better than them all.
Tyron is at the end of his career. He isn't old in age but he entered the league very young and injuries took its toll. Martin is aging as well and isn't as durable as he used to be.

2016 was the peak of the OL. Since then, it has been downhill for various reasons.
