ESPN Insider: Polling NFL execs: Would you rather have Wentz or Prescott?

I don't buy the justifications for why Dak fell in the draft (just silly), and I definitely don't buy the Wentz sees the field any better. Dak reads the field incredibly quickly, and it shows in his record of taking care of the ball and converting on third downs in the passing game.

That said, in an informal poll of anonymous former execs, you never really know who's getting poked here, anyway. Are these Brian Broaddusses? Or are they former GMs? Probably the former, right?

So these "justifications" for why Dak fell wasn't valid when it came to drafting Jameis Winston? Dak is a choir boy compared to JW in college.

I'd rather have Bill Gates' bank account than my own. I'd rather have the Rock's body than my own. The fact is, we're not getting that QB so this is stupid. We get what we get in life and nothing's going to change it. I wish I was 6'4, but I'm not. I wish we had Joe Montana but we didn't. You take the guy you have, and you go as far as you can go. Wishing only makes you miserable. Philly wishes they had 5 Super Bowl titles.

Honestly we talk arms all day. Where Wentz and Prescott both win is football character. Both are through the roof. And why this week is the first meeting inba rivalry that will probably last 15 years

Supposedly he is really smart, but according to reports he struggled with the mental part of the game the most in camp and preseason. But it probably should also be remembered that he was 21 years old when the season started.
His intellect and football acumen was well disguised in the HBO series, making fun of him not knowing which direction the sun set and raised was a thread throughout the episodes. I got the impression he was going to need lots of coaching and hand holding. If he would of fallen to #4 I have no doubt we would've drafted him. Do you agree?

I actually believed Jerry when he said that they weren't going to draft a QB at that spot, even if it was Wentz or Goff. I think they felt at that salary slot they wanted to get someone they anticipated would play right away. I think they were much more comfortable with Lynch's salary slot. Would have been interesting though.

Did these guys watch Wentz play last sunday? He was over throwing wide open WRs. Stop praising these qbs with big arms and no accuracy. I've seen or wr drop dimes from Prescott.

I've watched a lot of his game this year. He hasn't been very accurate and his ball placement is not that good as Daks. He does have a strong arm and can get it into tight spots but his accuracy and ball placement doesn't impress me.

Wentz is starting to play like a rookie but he doesn't have the guys around him that Dak does...

Which is why you can't help but wonder how a QB like Tony Romo would do if a 4th round Rookie is playing like this.
The guys around Dak weren't so great without Dak last season. It's basically the same supporting cast. Granted, Zeke is an upgrade over McFadden who played well last year.

Dak fell because [while] he was a leader who loved the game, he had the DUI, and when he got beat up during spring break in Panama City, his teammates did not help him in the fight," a personnel director said. "Some wondered, 'Hey, if he is such a leader, why did they not help him?'"
I thought I saw two other guys get beat up with Dak in that video.

Wentz has the most upside, but Dak is not a shabby second at this point.

I hate the qualifiers too.

Everyone talks about Zeke and the OL, from which Dak has benefitted-- I don't disagree.

But before Lane Johnson got suspended, Wentz was pressured at a lesser rate, and let's not pretend that Sproles hasn't been huge.

It's a lazy way to rationalize.

Wentz seems like the more talented passer and seems to have great character. But I wish they would stop pretending that he doesn't have help while Dak has Allstars at every position dragging him along.

Nothing wrong with both of them becoming Franchise QBs for both teams.
If that happens both teams should be happy.

We just got lucky and got ours, again if it turns out, in the 4th round without trading other picks to get him. Which also means we got him and Zeke vs just Wentz.
And in return, those picks and that money that we did not have to give up to get our next QB can be spread out to keep our team on an upward trend for a longer period of time.

I'm loving this!

Isn't he the one who didn't know which direction to face to see the sun rise? My elementary students know that.
