I can debate whether or not we landed on the moon till the day I die, doesnt change the fact that we did in fact land on the moon

We landed on the moon?

WE LANDED ON THE MOON!!!!! WOW!!!!!!

Words don't win games actions do. I'm not concerned with Witten comments only concern I have is this team coming out and playing a good game.

yep, sure was. Lost Moose in that game. And then Game 3? friggin serious bummer. That day, the heart/emotion of Dallas was gone. And hasn't been replaced since.

But Troy hitting Rocket streaking toward the end zone was pure gold. Too bad that team didn't stay healthy. It would have been interesting.

If that were true, it wouldn't be debated.

Nutballs debate things that are true all the time. "Gah! The Cowboys aren't America's Team and humans didn't evolve! Hand me my cane and tophat!"

If it wasn't true and it didn't annoy the hell out of people it wouldn't be debated at all. The fact that people are always looking for an excuse to pin it on someone else has more to do with not wanting the cowboys to have it then any other team being more deserving of the title.

Even in our worst seasons we still have to highest TV ratings, merchandise sale and get as much if not more publicity then the teams doing well does. Everyone has an opinion about the Cowboys no one is indifferent ask a random AFC south fan or something like that what they think of the Commanders and you'll probably just get indifference or pity, ask them about the Cowboys and they'll always have something to say. Good or bad we're always relevant, that's why you hate us and because you hate us we will always be Americas team the team you just can't get enough of. Want it to go away then stop watching our games and stop caring about every little thing that we do, you can't though can you? :laugh2:

Spot on, Great post!

The Commanders are 3-6 and out of the playoff race.

All we can do is play spoiler.

My thoughts exactly. I hope the Boys think it's their SB every game.
Americas team or not, the sixth ring is what matters.

Difference between us and them is simple, they win and can finish a season 1-15 and still say well we beat the Cowboys and carry that **** to the grave 20 years later. If we win its like meh we beat a ****ty team no need to be excited.

Didn't somebody just bring up a game 10 years old? Wouldn't that prove your statement false?

Don't think that's a stat. That's missing an assignment and losing a game for your team.

Big difference.

Keep your mouth shut.....do your job....and that would have been a "W".

Dude, Witten is a class act and you know it. This was hardly "trash talking". He stated the truth.
He's been one of the best TE's the NFL has ever seen and been a big reason Dallas has won as many games as it has over the past few years. Trying to find a play or two throughout a player's career that contributed to a loss is weak at best.

Have you ever considered the possibility that Dallas fans are insufferable and that's why most people hate the Cowboys and want them to lose? To shut you guys up? I routinely hear just about every fan in the league giving an honest assessment of their team at my work (Army job, so we're from all over the country) except Cowboy fans.

After every win you see them come in with full regala talking about Superbowl and America's Team and all that jazz. After a loss, the prevailing mantra is "we beat ourselves and the refs were against us". Cowboys fans absolutely refuse to admit they were beat fair and square.

Now, I realize that some (maybe even most) Cowboys fans don't fit under this category (Hostile and Woody's Girl come to mind immediately) but there's a large enough contingent of absolutely idiotic, loud and annoying Cowboys fans in most places that other NFL fans are just plain tired of hearing about it. Remember, it's not the silent majority you notice but the loud minority.

I think Philly and the Giants are gaining ground as far as the intensity of the rivalry.

Gaining ground? The rivalry with those 2 teams is greater than with the Skins. Just listen to the quotes from the Giants and Cowboys players prior to those games. The Eagles are a huge rivalry as well. The Commanders.....eh. There's history, but not the venom that there was in the 70's. I think if you polled the Cowboys it would be Giants, Eagles, THEN Commanders.

I don't know, Witten has struck me as an arrogant *****. Very talented, true, but just a general *****. Maybe it's a perception basis, but after he told Martellus Bennett to f- off as a rookie trying to learn, I just notice he never smiles (anybody have a picture to prove me wrong) and can't take a joke.

Jesus, dude. Do you even venture into the other threads on this board? We either think we're Superbowl champs, or the 2009 Skins, depending upon whether we won or lost the game immediately before. We've got no problems turning on our QB, our coaches, our role players, or each other when we get beat fair and square.
