NFL.com gets its tackle stats from STATS LLC.

You can fail to believe that AdamJT13 actually has access to stats from STATS LLC, but his posts are littered with hundreds of references to them. Which is more likely? A giant multi-year internet hoax or you simply being too big of a homer to recognize that your safety sucks?

True, but he didn't preface the list for '06. It was a top 5 hitters in the league, not top 5 in '06.

Maybe he thinks the 2nd half of '06 was sufficient to take Roy off the list, but I think even his hitting during '06 was probably better than Dawkins'.

I think Allen is the ESPN writer that recently had Roy as one of the most overrated players in the league.

Oh I know he didn't preface it, but I think it's a safe assumption to make that he's making that opinion based on '06. But I think if we're thinking of '06, Roy wasn't scaring many receivers across the middle...

I think it's fair to put Dawkins on the list. Peppers, not-so-much.

It said the most deadly hitters in the NFL, and even though I can't think of a particular hit specfically, I think Roy should be in there because he has always hit hard. Whats so bad about that?

I never said such a thing. As a matter of fact, I said that Roy should be on the list. I have never even said that Sean is a harder hitter, much less a better safety. We're NOT starting this debate.

Its just that many have used that jacobs play from last year and say roy got plowed or whatever, when the opposite is true, it was from the 1 and jacobs is 265 he should score 10 out of 10 times in that situation and the fact that in oct of 05 with the giants down a td in the last 2 minutes of the game from the 2 Roy stood jacobs up and stripped the ball which was very impressive.

And the example of portis doing anything to him is another questionable one because Dallas stopped washington 7 straight times from inside the 5 yard line and roy made 4 of the tackles almost single handedly, and portis was stopped twice trying to run it in from there by roy.

and to clarify, I dont think cowboys fans or Commanders fans should be talking about the play of roy williams or sean taylor from 06 because both of them were exposed and had average years.

I hate that debate and am glad you didnt mean to start that, The only things worse to talk about are religion and politics.

idk dude, you've dropped 2 dimes in, 1, Roy got ran over by Brandon Jacobs, and 2, you don't remember any specific hits, it seems like you're validating the list even though you claim innocence

There were rumors of a shoulder injury. I think he was wearing a device at some point -- some sort of shoulder harness. Whatever it is, it was very obvious that his "hitability" dropped off very suddenly in the 2nd half of the season.

I'm going to leave this Taylor thing alone, because Boys fans won't be happy until somehow, even the waterboy sucks at pouring the water (he led the league in cups half-full according to my uncle's roommate's cousin who read it in Stats).

Honestly, what did you expect? A Commanders fan on a cowboys board posting something that props up your player and "disrespects" the 'boys player.

And just because you don't know who one of the most respected posters is on this board, doesn't mean he's not correct about your Taylor. I think most on here would say that it's not fun to be on the receiving end of an AdamJT13 lashing.

Agree about what? Whether or not Roy deserved to be on a top 5 hitter list? Not for his '06 performance IMO. Doesn't mean he's not a top safety, but he wasn't busting heads last year as usual.
