Lets be clear here: many of the things said about Roy Williams were untrue at the time. The reason he can't get a job now is because he's a 29 year old safety coming off 2 injury plagued years. You're almost better off playing a 2nd-year player, as you'd get similar production.

You gotta admit though that an AFC North team is the perfect place for him to go.

I think if the Bengals look to play him up close almost like an extra LB that Roy can have success with Cinn. He does well in the underneath coverage but struggles in deep coverage, he is not the only SS to have that problem but Roy can lay the wood. I wish the guy the best and have nothing against him at all.

But my point is that he was largely unrecruited this year because he's old and washed up, not because he was never good.
