There is still a divide, one player, most likely a group of players feels the same old **** is happening, while another group is blowing sunshine up our *** telling us that loser Wade is a decent headcoach.

I would be willing to bet that on any team in the history of the NFL, under any head coach, there has always been one disgruntled player who wasn't happy with the head coach. A player pinning the blame on someone else, a player who thinks he should get more playing time, a player who thinks he should be used differently. blah blah blah. That doesn't indicate a divide in the lockerroom. There just hasn't been things like Twitter where players can sound off about it in public in the heat of the moment.

Obviously, there was a divide in the lockerroom last year. Jerry didn't eat $9 million in signing bonus and publicly go back on his word for nothing.

hos, i wish he'd not make every disagreement with him personal.

i wish i could disagree without being blinded by the emotes and "laughter" back in my face.

i wish he'd act 1/2 his age.

we're ALL passionate about the cowboys or we'd not be here. but to have some one dance around in utter blindness going HA HA YOU'RE SHEEP AND I'M REAL is just stupid, ignorant, and begging for attention.

he's either someone who quit growing mentally at 15 or he's a bigger attention ***** than brittney spears and almost as intelligent.

if he wants respect, he has to give it. i didn't make that rule but i damn sure learned it long ago. if i had a "friend" that laughed at me every time we disagreed i'd lose a friend.
I wish he'd refrain from the emoticons as much as he does too. But who do they hurt? IMNSHO the only one they hurt is him because it is harder to take him seriously when he reverts to them so often.

It doesn't change the fact that he is a good guy. Not in my book.

Put him on Ignore ice. It isn't worth stomach acid.

No, I didn't miss that and in truth I thought he was wrong. You can talk to him all you want. I'm just telling you guys, I know him, and he's a truly good guy.

He and I have talked for hours on the phone, off the air. He's just frustrated with this team. I don't agree with his takes on a lot of stuff. He doesn't agree with mine either.

That's life.

And that's cool. It's fine not to agree and I'm glad everyone doesn't. It would be boring and there would be no reason for a forum to talk.

But there is a difference between not agreeing and laughing at everyone, telling them their idiots and homers and don't have a clue what they're talking about simply because they don't agree with you.

One way is respectful and actually respecting the fact that people don't agree with you. The other way is being a 14 year old *** who thinks his opinions are the be all end all of things and you either agree with them or you're stupid.

But he was responsible for the ebola virus! :wink2:

don't disagree, it makes him look like he needs a good coloring book by all the emotes. like he can't verbalize his thoughts.

not a good look for a writer.

ignore is TOAN useless, hos. someone quotes, i see it. more aggrevating than just letting it go. and when mods are reminding him he is free to find another home and so many people are up in arms about him and his "trolling" - which is easier - dealing with 1 problem or asking "20" people to behave so he can continue his lunacy?

Talking in public section of a forum and talking in a private setting can be different things.

I have never mentioned this, that I remember, but I talked to Art from extremeskins in PMs before and he was an ok in there when there was no bravado of being a mod or skins homer, it had something to do with something away from football. So he might be a good human being away from this stuff but as far as being in a public setting he was a self absorbed turd wanting attention.

As someone else posted that is a different thing.

He might be the best guy in the world, might be willing to give up a great deal to help you in another setting but while here he is acting like a self absorbed egotistical guy....not that we all have not had our moments of doing that.:D

Jesus, this team just can't win with some.

If they say nothing, they are weak.

If they do speak, they say the "wrong" thing.

I like that they are yelling at him. Dudes a jerk, and has been. They need to be yelling at Werder as well.

dcfanatic is a friend of mine. I know him behind the scenes a little. As someone who knows what it is like to have people dislike you because of your opinions I just want to stick up for my friend here.

He is a genuine great guy who loves the Cowboys. He bends over backwards to find stuff to post here for us. I appreciate that.

Like many he is frustrated. Like most of us he is opinionated and doesn't back down from his opinions. I am the last guy in the world who can fault him for that.

He and I don't see eye to eye and that is okay. I was a regular on his show last year and this year only a couple of times. He has gone on to bigger and better guests and I support that 100%. I hate to miss his show, even if I disagree with some of his takes, and he knows I do.

I wish some of you would put him on Ignore rather than make it personal. I guarantee you, if you knew the guy like I do, he'd be a friend. Look how far divergent his opinions and mine are on the Cowboys, yet there's no hatred between us that I know of.

Just my 2 cents. I'll shut up now.

At least until I can find another angle to have some fun.

Hos the peacemaker.

Good job.

+1

I don't know DCFanatic at all, but like some other posters that provide media, stats and unique knowledge, I appreciate his effort.

The guy has an opinion and possibly takes things personally when the Cowboys lose..so what? Quite a few people on this board are like that.

DC, I say keep doing what you are doing. If you want to rant when posting a new video, go right on ahead.

Of course if I get tired of you, I will just put you on ignore :p: .

Battling the media is stupid. Battling the media when you haven't did jack for 13 years is even dumber.

Just shows how big of mental midgets we are. Talk is cheap.

Honestly, really good post.

I hope I haven't put forth that DCF is a bad guy. That's not my belief and almost certainly not the case. But he is clearly interested in the media, spends a good deal of time corresponding with them and especially media that covers the Cowboys. He has a self-interest there and the same kind of personal relationship thing going as you do to him. That makes him far from un-biased as to how (un)professional these guys are.

I have written articles in the past for a website that was linked with Florio. They felt Mike Florio was this really good, nice guy. I found out when I blasted him in an article and they asked me to edit it out.

The Star-Telegram and DMN have a media agreement to share stories, the Ticket and DMN as well. With all the media spit swapping who exactly calls these guys to the carpet when they get out of line.

What Steve Dennis did was childish and unprofessional. He made himself the story. A single follow up question about Wade's winners comments would have been sufficient instead of a debate. It wasn't the forum for a give and take at all, it was Wade's press conference. Dennis has every right to critique those comments after the conference but addressing him then and there in a debate was serious nonsense and anyone with a shred of professionalism in the media should have called him out for it. Instead we get two responses: 1) the vultures who can't wait to air it and eat up all the attention it brings. 2) the thin blue line types who will defend their media brethren though whatever idiocy they commit.

Having lived here through the media literally paying off people to lie on Cowboys players and various other legal mistakes I hardly hold the media up as a beacon of right and wrong.

If they were united in saying that he was a terrible coach, I'm betting you suddenly wouldn't think it was so irrelevant.
It would be very relevant. It would be a lot more relevant than reacting like a parent does when their child is called ugly even if they are. I am waiting for more than a chorus of boos from the defense directed at Steve Dennis to be convinced this is much more than a bunch of wasted energy from a defense that got its pride bruised after a poor performance when the chips were on the line.

And since when do multiple groups of players call out the head coach? All we have seen here are defensive players, am I missing anyone else? When things are that bad, that head coach is usually gone. That would mean the team is lost and that there is a full scale mutiny. All this shows is that Phillips has the support of his defense. He should. It is his unit.

It's all nice they are defending Wade Phillips. He's a good person who a lot of players like. A lot of players on San Diego's defense speak about him in a loving way--there's been articles about it.

Again, not relevant to the point. Does this head coach have what it takes to guide a team to postseason success?

Just because he is well liked doesn't mean he is a winner. Many of the greatest football coaches ever certainly weren't loved by their players. Half the time, their players wanted to string them up by their shorthairs.

Yes, because we all know that yelling at sports reporters means something in the w/L column.

It up to you on how you run this site, but this guy uses the place to pimp his site and show and then calls all of us names and is disrespectful because we might not share his thoughts. If you're cool with that, I guess I have to be too.

I love it when some of you guys can only remember the stuff I post or put on my blog that is seen as ragging on the team.

It's typical.

When the Cowboys win this place is dead. When they lose everyone and their mother is on here barking.

I guess I never post any highlight vids when we win. I guess I never post audio of good interviews after a win.

I guess I have never put together any vids about highlighting players who are helping the team win gemes.

:lmao:

I guess I never did any shows where we all fell all over each other after a big win.

:lmao:

More comedy from Cowboyszone.

I have to go add an interview of Steve Dennis to my blog.

I will be back later to battle the homers later.

I can't tell if you're acting like a child on purpose, fishing for compliments, or just really immature....either way, it must really bother you that us mindless fans think so little of you to keep responding like this. Keep diggin.

It's just internet persona's, really. You get so heavily invested in your point of view, and having it be "right" so that you can gain some sort of "internet credibility", that you end up becoming this cartoonish heel.

I think I did it when Parcells left and everyone wanted to blame him for everything, including the ebola virus and Ryan Seacrest.

Alot of good posters are doing it now.

Sometimes it's best to just shut off the Cowboyszone. Just watch free internet porn.

Lmao...

Art's wife was having labor complications a couple of years ago. Their baby was in jeopardy. My wife had a miscarriage and we lost a baby. I sent him a PM. He is a good guy.

Heaven knows he and I do not see eye to eye. He publicly threatened to ban me on ES and then in a PM to me at Tc.net begged me to help him save face by agreeing with him on ES. In other words, lie so he looked like a hero. I wouldn't do it. That was over me defending Eric Boyer, and that guy hates my guts.

Stuff gets taken personally sometimes. Peel away the monitors and keyboards and I think most of us would get along.

Maybe I'm just naïve though.
