Garrett’s inability to develop Dak is the most glaring

Exactly, you nailed it. Some just can't understand.

:hammer:

Exactly, and it's not just him that's saying it. CURRENT AND FORMER PLAYERS are saying it! Garrett's playbook (Yes, I know full well that Linehan calls the plays, but it's still clearly Garrett's playbook) is OBVIOUS and PREDICTABLE! You can spend all the time you like learning how to read a defence. The problem is that defences also learn how to read offences, and coaches have to know that. Garrett's playbook hasn't changed in the slightest.

In fact, I've got another point to make. I see a lot of people on here bragging on Carson Wentz. The PROBLEM is that Wentz RUNS once in a while. THAT is a big part of his game. He uses his LEGS to help get people open, and defences KNOW that he's capable of running. Garrett would STRIP that away from him! Those of you that wanted Wentz over Dak, are you SURE that you want Wentz here with Garrett at the helm?

agreed, some are just blind; they prefer to go with what some scouts said about the QB and won't change their mind .

Blind to see what JG has given us for over 9 years.

Yes, and I'm quite sure these same chaps that are blaming Dak were the same chaps that lathered blame on Romo and wanted a new QB then too. How many QBs must we go through before people realize where the problem REALLY is?

I'm done with Dak as the unquestioned QB of this team. Need to bring in competition and a fresh coaching staff that doesn't stink of the recent offensive ineptitude. Offensive upgrades would be nice, too.

I agree that Dak needs competition, and there are plenty of veteran options out there even now. Paxton Lynch would be nice. He may be dumb as a rock, but at least it'd be competition. Plus, he's probably simple enough that Garrett's offence might actually work with him. The problem is the chap with the headset though.

Right, so why not give Dak a new coach before we dump him? Maybe it's the coaching, or maybe Dak is really that bad. Either way, that'll be up to the next coach to decide. I do NOT feel comfortable giving Garrett a new QB after he finishes destroying Dak.
I don’t have a problem giving him another year if JG isn’t the coach, and if they bring in competition for him in the off season.

New QB alone won't fix it, I mean we saw tonight what can happen to even Brady. We need better across the board . Not having a dummy for a #1 RB would help, too.

Again, I think that's why a new chap with a headset is necessary. Dak and Zeke have talent. The coaches are bad at channeling it properly.

I watched the Eagles offense quite a bit. I wish our offense was just like that. I wish that Garrett would utilize RPO as much as the Eagles. It got them into the Superbowl.

When Garrett was considered an 'offensive guru' by the dallas media, other people were laughing:

In 2012 this was printed:

"Ray Lewis and Ed Reed teed off on Jason Garrett after the last time the Ravens faced the Cowboys, ripping Garrett for running a predictable offense following Baltimore’s win that turned out the lights on Texas Stadium."

http://www.espn.com/blog/dallas/cow...edictable-ray-lewis-goes-p-c-on-jason-garrett

Garrett is a career killer, every team knows this; except old as dust Jerrah , it seems .
Poetic justice that he is stuck with a coach killer as his QB.

Reid, McVay, Shanahan, and Pederson would all struggle developing Dak.

In the NFL, some traits have to be there before they start to mold the QB
Imagine watching football every week and blaming Garret for Dak.

I'm not sure Dak can develop into more than what he is. He doesn't have the arm strength to throw it deep consistently and accurately.

Garrett allowed Linehan to make Moore their QB coach.

A guy who had never coached a QB in his life.

Say it again. The Cowboys had a young QB who clearly needed some work after his 2017 season and they went out and hired a QB coach who had never been a coach before.

Easily one of the dumbest offseason moves made by this franchise. And a fireable offense IMO.
You can't fire the owner. Ask Bears and Bengals fans how they feel about the Brown and Halas kids how they have run the teams. Bears fans forced the ownerships hand. Now they have a competent gm and coach.

It's gonna take fans turning awat because the Jones family has made failure profitable.

Garrett has been here nearly a decade. He hasn't gotten out of the 2nd round, even with the best o-line, kicker and tight end in cowboys history, one of the best rbs and the best qb since aikman in Romo. He's even had Martellus Bennett, a pro bowl TE who won a championship with another organization, playing next to Witten. You know what any other coach would do if Dak was the reason for them tanking? BENCH him.
