How long, is long enough?

You just want names.

I don't think Garrett is the greatest coach ever but I'm not gonna spout off all the big name coaches and say they are definitely better.

I bet you want Dallas to sign Seymour.

Simple question, you are starting a franchise, Garrett and Reid are available, who do you take?

And we can't afford Seymour, but our line would look better with him in there.

Thank you. I appreciate that a lot. Again I don't see how wins and losses esp over the last year and a half mean much considering we've been crippled on defense due to injuries and playing with a huge handicap on offense with a poor offensive line last year particularly the first 3/4 of the year.
We will have to agree to disagree, but I will tell you one thing, I hope you end up being right.

Jesus man. Does the Cowboys being at .500 for two years really mean that those two years of your life were wasted? In the scheme of things its not that important. Guess Im dont bleed blue like you... Honestly, youre being a little dramatic.

dramatic? you're the one who brought life into it. where did i say that?

I do think this a major point. I think some fans take wins and losses much differently than others. Some of us dont want to hear about anything after a Cowboys loss. Others can grab their kids and go to the park. Some dont take it as serious as others, its a matter of each individual.

lol Last week I seriously became nauseous watching that last drive. Typically I sit in the living room with my laptop watching the game and my fantasy team. I had to sit my laptop down, shut the dog in a empty bedroom (he was barking at my antics) and think about "what the hell just happened?" lol

lol then thought to myself... what has become of me? I got real stuff to worry about.

4 teams...going from a piss poor qb situation to an above average one....are our examples?

Nevermind that there are 60 NFL teams that have missed the playoffs over the last 3 years.

You have 3 examples.

I will let you get back to trying to think critically.

I would rather talk to cowboy fans than Garrett groupies myself

Impling that those who dont think that JG is the problem arent actually Cowboy fans?

He's implying if you like Garrett and want to see him succeed then you're a groupie and not a Cowboys fan.

In either case that makes him sound pretty....umm....unique? Simple? Silly?

How in heck can we even make a comparison between a HC who took over an expansion team and no draft picks to a HC who took over a team with a franchise QB in a watered down NFL? You can't possibly be serious? And, by that criteria, you can make the argument and compare Campo to Landry as well but he just wasn't given enough time......wow....

The Garrett fanboys are starting to get desperate..............pulling the Landry card.

16-1 against teams under .500
4-19 against teams above .500

That is the actual on the field results since Garrett has been named the head coach. The numbers prove that Garrett will beat the scrub teams and lose to the good teams, hence the definition of a 500 ball club year in and year out.

Please stop acting as if that some intersting stat that you put together to prove your point. That has been all over every sports site and channel. Thanks for putting time together in order to post the information that someone else provided for you. Rivoting information there.

I understand. And I think this is a big reason for some of the differences amongst posters here. Some dont let a loss bother them because "they have no control over it". Others, myself included, have had Thanksgivings and Christmases ruined because of Dallas losses. Your approach is no doubt the healthy way. Usually, the fans that allow losses to really effect them, are the ones that are on here wanting changes.
The ones that brush off a loss as soon as its over, they tend to be a little more laid back regarding changes as they are not as emotionally involved. I should add that I dont think this makes one a better fan than the other, its just the difference in emotional involvement.

I knew it. You hate the Cowboys for wanting Garrett to win.

Leslie Frazier is no great shakes, but even Frazier, who was hired under virtually the same circumstances as Garrett, has a playoff season under his belt.

It depends on how long the Jones family deems it takes to build a playoff team in this age of parity.

Because usually scrub teams don't have QB, we do. When it comes to competing against equal or better teams, where scheme, play calling, game management, execution and adjustments come into play, the odds are against us.

And that's with Christian Ponder, Joe Webb, and now Josh Freeman at QB.

I think some people vastly underrate how much having a franchise QB means.

Oh yeah? Would love some examples.

Garret inherited a mess of a team....that was old in a ton of spots and had little depth outside of these aging veterans.

The team is more talented now and younger. Nevermind we've had horrendous luck with injuries the last two years. Call it an excuse...because it is one...but it's also true.

Garrett's show me year will be next year.

Cry about it if you want. But it's true.

Garrett did not inherit a mess of a team. He inherited a playoff team that had confidence issues. That team had talent but just didn't perform well under Wade.

Nonetheless, this is Garrett's team now. We have had back to back 8-8 seasons with Garrett. He can bring in the players and coaches that he wants. Still, we are getting the same results as when he started.

So what happened to the offensive line?

Because that singular unit has held this franchise back every year since Garret has been here. Last two years we've been unfortunate with injuries....unfortunate is being kind...again last year we missed the 3rd most starts due to injury out of 32 ball clubs. And i'd argue even that undersells us because we didn't just lose pieces we lost some of our BEST guys.

And no the team wasn't a playoff team when Garrett took over. Or else he would have never taken over. I mean that should be obvious.

Bingo.

If Romo makes it all 16 again this year and we don't at least make it to the NFC C game he's gone.

We are wasting Romo's prime years folks. Isn't anybody just a little curious to see what he can do with a new system and new coach?? I'm tired of even Romo being too comfortable.
