So you chose to respond by .... sinking the discussion to an even lower point. Gotcha.

What sort of answer did you really expect? It's quite obvious we're going to struggle if we lose Terrell Owens. We don't have a Pro Bowl alternative, he's one of the best players on our team, and our offense leans heavily on him. No TO, no dominant offense. We might be able to "get by" without him, but we're not going to scare anyone. It'll be a major struggle, undoubtedly.

I'm sure the mods will love your constant cussing, by the way.

sorry to offend you reverend. my point is we did NOTHING to give us insurance. and who the heck are you to judge anything. oh, right, you are better than that i guess. so be it, my LORD. of course you r right. i expected a debate, not responses belittling my post. maybe some answers bc i am worried about our depth.

To add ... do you really think DJ Hall would make a darn bit of difference if we were to lose Terrell Owens?

You're calling us "knuckleheads," and you're throwing out the suggestion that we missed out by not going after DJ Hall as some sort of Plan B to Owens?

Yeah, we're the knuckleheads.

no you're no knucklehead but a smartmouth know it all, yeah, jerk

There's a reason Bowman and Hall went undrafted, but then again we picked up a WR as a free agent who had 112 catches last season I believe.. therefore we probably got one of the best FA WR that was available......

Wow. Why the weak insults? People responded to your thread and attempted to debate, and you responded with a filthy attack. Of course you're going to get reamed with such a childish mindset.

Look, I tried to respond with an opinion in my first post -- no better, no worse than the opinion you offered in your first post.

It's my opinion that while you're right we did little to address a major concern at wide receiver, it's an issue that wouldn't have been resolved by drafting a guy anyway. Now, I do think drafting a guy would have helped us in the future -- and that is a BIG concern. It's imperative we get younger.

But in my opinion, as to your original theory about us being screwed if TO goes down -- well, yes, you're absolutely right.

My only asterisk is that I think this same concern applies to a lot of teams. I'm holding my breath that Romo doesn't get hurt, because Lord knows we don't have a capable player backing him up. Yet, like at receiver, I don't think drafting a player last weekend would have helped ease that concern.

I just don't get what other kind of response you're anticipating from me or anyone else. Am I supposed to just jump up and down, screaming that we didn't get a receiver? Rub my hands together and create a TO replacement?

Again, our success is heavily reliant on TO's health and continued success. It's just the way it is. We're in trouble if something happens to him.

BTW ... who belittled your post? Everything seemed on the straight and narrow until you busted back through the doors with your profanity-laced, name-calling tirade.

stupid question. this is like asking if a team loses its starting QB or 1/2 their OL or their top 2 pass rushers.

i wont offer another post again. my questions are stupid obviously. and only 50 posts? ive never had anything to say, especially not negative to any of you. so go on thinking you are the only ones with any kind of relative post. i wanted some answers with posts to help me understand the situation. go back and look at some of the posts that insulted me. maybe i was defensive and maybe i over reacted, but youall have a way of making anyone with an opinion u dont like or agree with feel stupid. the # of posts has nothing to do with my knowledge of the cowboys and concern with our offseason moves and draftinig. but i was wrong to think cowboy fans would stick together and support and help with people who have concerns. if i can i will try my best to quit this site. hey maybe you perfect posters who know all can help get me banned and save us all some trouble. ill keep my feelings and ideas to myself until i am no longer a member. my lack of posts means i never saw anything relevant enough to respond to. i cant compete on a forum with experts who have so much experience and inside info on the cowboys. you guys know all.

Glenn is as good as gone. Anyone counting on having him at his old level of play is drinking some koolaid.

its not as if every team isnt in the same boat.
This is not quite the same. Both receivers are older, Terry Glenn is coming off a major (if not career ending) knee injury, and for Terrell Owens, I am more worried about the fact that he's entering the last year of his contract. That can't be a good thing.

I agree and something tells me so does JJ. He seemed to emphasize the fact they needed to upgrade the second wr many times during his PC. I think he has something brewing, perhaps with a team waiting to see what they have in some of there young kids before making a deal.

I skipped all the name calling and all that fun stuff, so this may have already been said:

But it's not remotely outlandish to consider what would happen if a 33 year old receiver with a bum knee and our star receiver, who is even older at 34 were to get hurt.

Someone brought up what would happen if the Colts get Reggie and Marvin hurt? Why do you think they spent a first rounder on Anthony Gonzalez last year AND drafted another guy late last year AND another guy late this year?

The only WR's we've drafted in the last five years that are still on the team are Patrick Crayton and Isiah Stanback, the only other WR we drafted was Skyler Green and he was taken to return kicks and couldn't even cut the mustard at that.

You can all say it's whining, but a lot of us still remember only putting up 3 points in the 2nd half of the Giants game because T.O. was hobbled and we couldn't get Witten the ball with the coverages he saw.
