People thought we didn't have a chance in hell to beat the Colts either, then look what happened.

Every Cowboy fan always has apprehension before every game against a good team. It's natural. Hell, I get nervous before EVERY game, no matter who were playing.

Now that you mention it, I feel better about the Bears game this year than I did going into the Colts game last year.

Like most things in life, it's day to day and week to week. Certainly most of us bought into this team last November, esp after the game in the Meadowlands. Then reality hit us with a 2x4. This year, optimism has to do with the general state of the NFC, the injured players we hope to get back at close to full strength, Tank (gulp), the Eagles' and Giants' troubles, and the good fortune to play the Bears in September and not December. And outside of New England, we (seemingly) picked the right year to be playing the AFC East. Seattle surprised a lot of people two years ago, and so can we.

The Mods need to get on this quick ...... a Cowboy fan has hacked bbgun's account.

If the Skins were 2-0 and we were 0-2 he would be all over like flies to.......

Being that we are both 2-0 he can be a "Certain" way...

Watch what happens if we lose to the Bears and they go 3-0....

I think that Romo is the key to a win if we are to win. Romo is just not a sitting duck back there. You will have to swarm him in order to bring him down.

I think the Cowboys will probably attack them deep with the unknowns like Hurd and Crayton. Try to get Witten on some deep corner routes. Romo can and WILL buy time in the pocket, and if you give Romo extra time, he is deadly.

Ya'll read him way wrong. He may be a bit anti-Jerry, but he is Pro-Cowboys. He has some of the best pictures of old newspaper clippings and stuff ever. He's posted them here. It takes all kinds of fans to make a forum.

It is certainly no gimme, few games are but Dallas stands more than a fair shot to prevail.

New year, same old crap. BTW, Hos assures me that "Skin's fan" cracks at my expense constitute a personal attack, so consider this post duly flagged. Believe it or not, I have rights too. One of the them is to post benign, pro-Cowboy messages in a thread without my loyalty being questioned or mocked. No more games.

Anyone else feel this way?

I think we have a pretty good team, don't get me wrong. But I just feel like this team we're playing is going to be extremely fired up in front of a Sunday night crowd, and that can make a huge difference, especially on defense. Their quick DL is the kind that seems to give our big guys problems, and their LBs and DBs are very opportunistic. Of course Urlacher is one of the best players in the game.

It's not so much that I think our team isn't that good, although I do think we have some fairly significant weaknesses. It's more that I think people are underestimating a very good and very experienced defense playing in front of their home crowd.

Plus, as bad as Grossman is overall, he can get on hot streaks and hit everything he looks at for short periods of time. I hope we aren't catching him at just the wrong time.

Maybe I'm wrong. The Dolphins D is always tough at home, and we did well against them. Maybe Rex will melt down and throw the ball up to us like everyone thinks. Maybe Ware will come on and get two or three big sacks.

But if we do win this game, I think it will say a lot about our team, because I think the Bears are pretty good.
There's alot of reasons to believe that Chicago won't be any bigger a hurdle for the Cowboys then Miami or NY.

Chicago's defense is tough and it is in their backyard. But other than their top receiver Berrian, there ain't much more to worry about. Kansas City's defense isn't exactly a monster and he threw 35 times for only 160 yards. He has a Qb rating of 55. Huard outplayed him statistically.

Muhammad has only 2 catches for 15 yards and a bum ankle. If Dallas jumps on them early, Grossman will start pressing and you know what will happen.

I think this game is the Boys all day. Just don't kick to Hester.

Understated for effect. BB is absolutely a Boys fan though... he's just a lil cranky sometimes.

Yes, many people on the board are underestimating the Bears, but I think a goodly number of them are also underestimating the Cowboys defense.

It is getting better all the time and may be ready to surprise.

The Bears saw an ersatz version of the Phillips defense a couple of weeks ago and may think that gives them an edge. But Wade Phillips has been able to dissect that game and determine what his former Charger understudy did wrong in that game, and what the scheme is designed to do better.

The Bears defense is good, but if the past is any guide, soon the Dallas Phillips defense will be good, too. And it might be ready to show it.

;)

If we were at home or even a neutral field, i would give us the edge but that is not the case.

I can just see so many different scenarios and about the only consistency is bad QB play on their part. That being said if their defense and ST takes over...

its a tossup and not a game i would bet on.

bbgun is the biggest RedStink fan around! He tries hard to be a Cowboy fan...but the media just drives him nuts! He loves the media, and when the media says good things about the Cowboys he absoutely hates the media! Right BBGun?

:laugh2:

If the media says BAD things about the Cowboys and us sheep disagree...then he goes Postal...with a bbgun.

I will be surprised if we lose this game. The only player on their offense that worries me is Berrian. As long as we don't kick to Hester or at least cover him well, we should be good.

The Bears QB sucks (lets be honest), both of their RB's fumble on a regular basis, and they have one WR to be worried about (Berrian). My take: I get a feeling the Bears defense is going to be on the field quite a bit during the game. They will be wore down in the second half and that will open the running game for us. The Bears will also be without a couple of their key starters on defense which will weaken them a bit. Hester is the wildcard, he could literally change the game at any point and time.

31-17 Cowboys with most of our points coming in the second half.

Weird because Parcells is a coaching God, but I feel way more confidence in a win with Wade as coach. I just think the best way to to win this game is to put it in Romo's hands. He may lose it, but he gives us the best chance to beat an elite team.
